Using Disney gift card as payment.....

Does anyone know how to apply a Disny gift card, online, as payment on a vacation package? I haven't booked yet since we're not going till next year.....but I've been squirreling away gift cards as a little "Disney savings fund". It says on the gift card website that gift cards can be used, so it is just kind of stumping me!

All I can see online is a choice of a normal credit card or a Disney rewards redemption card.....I would appreciate any help! TIA !

When you want to book or make a payment just call it in. They'll take them over the phone very easily.

Ditto...most were in $25-50 increments ...and probably 40 of them total.... I just clicked the "pay your balance" on my reservation and it gave me options...I clicked Gift card and paid from there.

We used several this year to pay for part of our trip. If the gift cards are at least $20, you can make a payment with them online. If not, all you have to do is call the reservation phone number and they can apply them for you.

A lot of youth groups, teams, high school bands, etc. sell these as part of something called "Scrip" as a fund raiser. They are the same cards, but the group gets money for selling them. We bought them last year through our high school band boosters.

If you are going to buy them you might consider finding a local organization that is selling them as a fund raiser. Save for Disney and help some kids at the same time. What could be better?

My daughter also participates in a scrips program for her skating club. In Nov. 2011 I had to pay for our entire $3500 trip. I ordered (3) $1000 and (5) $100 cards. I called WDW reservations and gave them the 8 gift card numbers and paid off our trip.

It was super easy. I loved earning $$$ for my daughters sport.

Before we went we ordered another $1000 card to pay for EVERYTHING. The day we arrived we put the entire card on our KTTW card. The entire trip we charged EVERYTHING to our KTTW card (tips, gifts, snacks, a fishing excursion). In the end I had to pay $82.00 in cash at check out.

It was so nice not carrying cash and using one card for everything. The best was we paid for it all before we left so we came home with no WDW debt.

I sure hope so - I've been buying a few cards every week and I plan to for the next year and a half to pay for our Adults Only trip to Disney. My wife has used 19 different gift cards so far to pay on our December trip. I purchase them at our local grocery store and receive $1 off on 35 gallons of gasoline for every $250 in gift cards.

I'm with you....I'd like to just enter my small stack in online and be done.... I don't mind calling and giving them the numbers, but I was getting nervous that I couldn't use the gift cards on our vacation! this puts my mind at ease!

That's awesome, thank you! I've been buying cards every time I stop by Walgreens (which is a lot) to take the sting out of our first trip to the Grand Floridian next year, so this makes it even more fun to buy them and know I won't be harassing some poor cast member when we check in .

When I paid for our entire trip with gift cards it was only 8 cards and I just called and read them the numbers.

I know when you check in you can leave them a charge card for charging, Can you instead give them a gift card to be use on your account for charging.

I just counted the gift cards I used for paying off our May/June trip. I used
39 for the BC portion
and 41 for the POR portion. All entered online. LOL! Yes, 80 cards! I did a little at a time. Thank goodness for a 10 key and years of entering grades for students online.

This is good to know. I have been putting away a gift cards little by little for a while. It will be nice to use them to help pay down our balance.
