Last January I redeemed 100,000 Delta Sky Miles (Amex card) for a two tickets on a non-stop, direct flight on Song Airlines. Since then, Song has stopped all flights from Newark Airport (EWR - NJ). After seeing the post about it on the DIS, I called and was able to tranfer my points - only 90,000 on Continental, for two first class tickets, although I had to extend my trip by three days in order to get the times we wanted. (A longer trip? Definitely NOT a problem....
) Then last week I got a call from Delta telling me that was a time change - no big deal, still not a problem. However, since this flight time change, now the website no longer shows that I have tickets!! I literally spent HOURS on the phone with Delta, Continental, and Amex Sky Miles, trying to make certain that my itinerary was still confirmed. The next day, I accessed my account and it showed that I had reservations on DELTA airlines - same days, but completely different times and with Atlanta connections! I was livid! Back on the phone....When I call Continental, they say I need to speak with Delta because I made the reservation thru them. Delta insists that my ressies on Continental are still valid, still confirmed, but yet I cannot find it on line - only the Delta connections flight is listed! I'm worried that we'll get to the airport (our trip is Oct 13-24) and not have a seat. Have you ever had such problems trying to get a free flight with sky miles?
