We are debating on getting the basic dining plan for part of our trip-our reservations are split, so we can do only a couple days if want-anyways, if we go to whispering canyon cafe, it says you get an appetizer, entree, drink and dessert.

can you use it for getting an appetizer, the all you can eat skillet-or does it have to be a regular entree?, dessert and a shake for a drink, or does it have to be soda?

We did WCC in February and the appetizer was not included. The basic DDP doesn't include appetizers any more. We were able to order the skillet w/drink and dessert. DH got the shake, no problem.

We have WC booked for our Jan. trip. It seems like alot of fun, but how is the food? Also, will our 2yo grandson be able to eat out of the skillet, or will we have to order him a meal? TIA

I personally like the food there. You will find a lot of reviews where people dont like it. Love the bottomless milkshakes too! As far as the skillet goes, there is just so much food and they keep bringing you whatever you need, i doubt they would say anything if you gave your 2 year old some from it. We cant even make it through it all ourselves!!

It is a lot of fun there!!

If on the basic DDP you don't get an APP here. Deluxe DDP you do. HOWEVER, if you order the skillet even on DDP you get the salad app. So then you can get the skillet, dessert, and drink. It's very yum!

No appetizer is included with the basic dining plan (except for children age 3-9).

The skillet can be ordered as an entree, and all the skillet components are included (it is an all you can eat meal.)

A child under age 3 is permitted to share. You will not be permitted to share the skillet with anyone age 3 and over.

The skillet was great, most of us choose it. You wouln't miss the appitizer, there is plenty food I loved this meal but my husband thought if was too chaotic and loud. Lots of kids running around having a great time.
My 5 yr old grandson had a ball. (Ask for catsup)
The waitress at the next table took away a guys cell phone and was talking to the person on the other end for the longest time, saying all kinds of funny things. All I could think was I hope he has unlimited service! :rotfl2:

We did not like the food at all. We thought the ribs and pulled pork was much better at Flame Tree and Cosmic Rays. DH actually got sick on the ribs and chicken in the skillet. We won't go back...but we don't have young kids anymore so we don't need to go for the antics (of which none went on the night we were there at 5:30 anyway).
