Using DDE Card during Spring/Easter Break

I know Disney is placing holiday pricing on some restaurants from March 16-30. Does anyone know if you will be able to use the DDE card during those dates or will there be any restrictions?

I just got my new (renewal card) last night (only took 3 weeks) and on the print out that comes with the card, it says black out on the holiday days. It does not mention anything in regard to blocks of time being blocked out.

OT: I read that the new cards that can be picked up now in person are paper cards, so was surprised to still get a hard plastic card.
