Using comp tickets and regular tickets

We are doing a 6 night/7 day split stay in October. We are buying 5 day tickets, and we have 8 one day comp tickets (we are a group of 4). We are doing 2 resort days, but there are 2 park days when we'd like to hop, and plan on using the comp tickets for that purpose. We have the ticket number for the comp tickets to link to our MDE. The only thing I've done so far is link our 2 hotel stays to our MDE.

My question is- for the 2 days that we are hopping- is there a way that I could make 3 FP+ with the comp tickets in addition to the 3 FP+ on our regular tickets on the same day? I know you can't with hoppers, but I didn't know if maybe there was a way to do it with separate tickets.

Yes, but it entails having two families listed in your MDE and only one family will have MagicBands because you linked both hotel stays to the same MDE.

Plus, you won't know if FPs that are linked to an MDE Profile, where a linked ticket has not been used for park entry, will be valid at the FP tapstile. That info should be known tomorrow after the FP system is updated.
