Using childs AP to book a room?

My AP expires in September and DS' expires in November. If we take a trip after mine expires can I use his for a room only discount. BTW, I don't know if it matters, but he is 13 so I paid the full adult price for his AP.

No, only adult APs can be used for room discounts.

Oops - sorry you say he has an adult AP? Well, yes then you should be able to I believe. They won't let him be the lead guest on the reservation though since he's under 18. But I think you can still do it - that's the only complication I'm unsure of.

Hypothetically, couldn't the OP book the room and then show the the kid's Adult priced AP at check in? It seems to me that somebody just has to be an AP holder. There is nothing in the Passholder Program guide I have. I would suggest to call to have this clarified.

Exactly. Since he can't book a room, he can't use his AP for the discount. He's considered a "junior", not an "adult" for resort purposes. (Otherwise, you'd have to pay the "extra adult in the room" charge for him!)

Only APs held by those over 18 can be used.
