Using cc to buy park tickets? Billed as travel?

We are probably buying DH an annual pass and have a cc that gives us 3x points for travel related purchases. Does anyone know if Disney tickets are billed under travel?

It might depend where you buy them. I bought mine at Disney Springs and charged them to my Magic Band so they coded as travel. I have also bought through Undercover Tourist and Southwest Vacations and they coded as travel too.

I have read here on the DIS that UCT does code as travel. I bought my tickets from orlandoticketclub.com and they did NOT code as travel.

If this is a Chase card, you can also transfer money to the Disney Vacation Account using your cc (codes as travel) and then use it to purchase the AP from Disney. You will also get $20 per $1000 spent provided that your account has been open for 120 days at the time of spending in order to get the reward (this will expire December 31, 2017, but may be extended).
