using BCD X739200 for Budget car rental?

have you used this one before? i usually use X793200 from rentalcarmomma.com or W852802 from Costco but found X739200 to be quite lower than both. i stumbled upon X739200 initially by mistake b/c of the transposition error that i made when typing.

where does X739200 come from? is it for anyone to use?

beware! I remember vaguely about someone using this code and they ended up not honoring it, because if I remember correctly it is for insurance companies that rent cars out to their customers whose car got damaged. So if you don't have the insurance company claim number to prove it, they will not honor it, and you will end up having to pay the full rate!

so it's really NOT for the general public but rather for insurance companies? bummer! although it is highly tempting b/c it does go through easily w/ the online reservation, i'm not going to take a chance at the counter, esp. w/ my 2 small kids waiting, in-laws, etc. i like budget's Fastbreak counter b/c of it's quickness. i wouldn't want to have to get into a discussion w/ the manager, etc. over a car rental.

new question: is X793200 from rentalcarmomma.com OK to use?

answer to my own question re: X793200....my DH says that it's OK, we've used it before.....but since it's the same rate as Costco right now, i'll stick w/ Costco. - Jen

I think that is the code I used this past summer, and had problems. When I got to budget I was told the my reservation was for a replacement car of one I already had, which wasn't true. The guy had to redo the reservation and I ended up paying $81. instead of $55.

Now I'm not sure if the code was what screwed it up, but I don't know why else my reservation was showing as a replacement. I booked right thru Budget and added the code.

I threw out the code figuring it was no good. I probably should have kept it so I wouldn't have that happen again.
