Using Banked Points

My dear friends,

I will be banking better than half of this year's points into next year. My question is will I get to use all those points or just the points that can be used for a given night's reservation during my stay.

For example, if I have banked 72 points from the previous year and I make a 4-night reservation that will need 132 points(or 33 per night), will they use the full 72 banked points first or will they use 66 of the banked and 66 of the yearly allotment and leave the 6 in the banked to expire?

If this is answered somewhere, please just post the link and if I've posted in the wrong place, my apologies and feel free to move.

MS will use all of the banked points first before using any current use year points.

I think what you are asking is if banked points and current UY points can be combined for a reservation, or if they are figured seperately when making a ressie.

The points will be combined. In your scenerio, they would not leave the 6 points in your account; they would use those points before using the current UY points, and the points would be combined for the reservation.

Thank you for the quick responses. I had to ask the question because when I booked my Disneyland reservation for October, they used all but 6 of the remaining developer points I got. I knew the developer points were in a different "bank", which is why that happened. I couldn't remember if banked points were handled the same way (or if I had even asked). Now that I know, I don't have to adjust my Excel spreadsheet.
