Using AP

I just sat down and figured out how many times we've used our AP's since renewal Aug 13 and we're at 17. Granted we'll go for a couple hours at a time, but I loved figuring out what that would have cost! Thursday after school will be our next trip just for the tree lighting and parade.

Anyone else ever figure out your per visit cost?

No, I kind of do it backwards :) I buy my AP because I'm a fanatic, and then I figure out how many times I have to go to make it worth the price ;) I think it's only four visits (I have a PAP, so I include the $15 parking a day in my calculations) to cover the cost if I use the price of a one-day park-hopper. I try to go once a month (maybe every two months), so I get my money's worth :)

For the past 3 years I have kept track of how many times we went to the parks and created a spreadsheet that tracks the money we saved using our AP for parking, shopping, food and staying onsite.

So far this year, we have covered the cost of 6 Premium AP's with the discounts alone. There are only 5 of us, so we have totally covered our costs and more.

Granted, we go at least once a month and then a few extended trips during the year so there is extra costs involved, but I love to see how much money we have saved with the AP discounts. This way I don't feel soo bad when we renew them.
