Using AP website before AP exchange???

Just received our DVC annual pass vouchers. Now I understand that they are good one year from exchange, not purchase. However, am I able to register on the annual pass site until then? Will this activate the start date of our passes?

Yes, you can use the AP web site with your voucher.

No, it won't activate the start date of your AP. That won't happen until you turn in your voucher for your AP.

I have used the voucher numbers on the back of an exchange certificate to access the passholders' website. You do not need the actual activated pass to access the website although it can be a bit tricky to figure out how to enter the number and letters to log on to the site.

Using the website does not activate the pass. The only way to do that is to exchange the certificate on site for the actual pass.

my receipt which does have a number on it can I sign on too??

Sounds like you chose the "will call" option. The confirmation number on the receipt will not get you on the pass holders' website. You have to have either an exchange certificate (aka voucher) in hand or the actual pass. The log on requires the numbers on the back of the pass or voucher.

When you order online, you have to choose the "mail" option (which costs a few dollars more) if you want to access the pass holders' website or order the DDE card by phone.

I got my exchange certificate last week and haven't been able to use it to log in. It's very frustrating. I've always been able to use the voucher to login before.

We just got ours also and have had no problem. Just make sure you use the right template when you log in. The first is for activated passes while the second and third are for vouchers.
