using air bed in king room?

We are staying in a 2 bedroom at Baylake Towers and also at Saratoga Springs. Our family will have the master in both units and able to utilize the sleeping chair and couch in living room too. Our teenager is fine on the sleeping chair, but we also have a 9 year old who has dust mite allergies.

At home, we have his mattress and pillows encased and also run an air filter in his room 24/7. This has helped him a ton. We are thinking that we will bring his pillow encasements, and perhaps get a blowup twin bed and put that in the master room. Will it fit? Will Disney give us extra bedding? We will not be over the allotted occupants per room or anything. Also I am debating about bringing his air filter to run in the bedroom. At home he seems able to cope with the allergens in the rest of the house as long as he is getting that better environment for his 8 to 10 hours when he is sleeping.

These are both DVC resorts and they usually do not provide any extra bedding. At SSR, you will not have the sleeper chair in the living room, just the queen sized sleeper sofa. The twin sized air bed might fit in the master bedroom, but it will be tight. It might fit between the king sized bed and the window.

I did confirm with that SSR would indeed have the sleeper chair. They have apparently just been added. Yeah!

Not sure what we will do. May just make do with the pillow encasements and call it good. I have to call to set up a few other things so I will talk to them about it at that time.

We always use an air mattress at SSR & we've never had a problem getting extra linens. Our boys are 18 & 14 and just don't like to sleep together. If they did, in fact, add the sleeper chair this is very good news! But I have to admit I am skeptical so please let us know for sure.

While it is a very tight squeeze , you will be able to get the mattress between the pull out & the sliding door.

I would also suggest you call and request an "allergy cleaning".

I don't think that's correct. The sleeper chair was installed at OKW but no other existing DVC resorts. There just isn't room. VGC, AKV (except value) and BLT had them when they opened.

We have used a twin aerobed in the king bedroom at BWV & VWL and the floor plan is about the same as SSR. We put it between the bed and the balcony door.

Just confirming - there are no sleeper chairs at SSR, and I have heard of no plans to put them in that resort. IMO there is not room in SSR rooms to add them.

Sorry, there aren't any sleeper chairs at SSR, and as far as I know, there are no plans to add them. The rooms at BLT and AKV were designed to accommodate the chairs from the get-go, and OKW villas are larger than those at other resorts, so there was room to add them. That's not the case at SSR.

If you called the resort, you were actually speaking to a call center, which is notorious for giving our misinformation.

Speaking as an allergy sufferer, I think an air mattress on the floor of a hotel room would be the worst place for someone with dust mite allergies. Who knows how well the carpet was vacuumed, and I can only imagine the dust bunnies under the bed and other furniture.

An air mattress won't fit in the master bedroom at BLT.

I agree with others that said call and request allergy cleaning.
