Using a Walker?

We've only ever done WDW with an ECV. This trip we will visit Universal Studios and IOA for the first time. We're staying at the EconoLodge on I Drive, which provides shuttle service. I will be using a fold-up walker for this trip. Are the shuttles from offsite hotels required to have handicap access (therefore room for my rollator)? I don't want to make a big production getting on/off the bus, but I do not know if I can last a full day without my assistive device. What are the handicap rules/expectations in Orlando transportation?

Does it fold?

My mom has a rugged "hiking" walker. We've never had trouble with shuttles, although we usually have to fold it.

If you wanted to uber or taxi, we have found that some trunks are too small/short to accommodate it.

Thanks. That makes me feel much better. If I need to order an Uber- I'll let them know I have it, just in case.

As a warning, the walk from the drop-off area/parking to the entrance at Universal/IoA is almost worse than the parks themselves. It's over a third of a mile from the drop off point to the entrance.

Thanks for the warning. I think the walking will be fairly easy. I just cannot stand very long. I am bringing super comfy, supportive shoes, and swapping them each day. That has always worked at WDW, while I shared an ECV with DH. (I had rented it for me, but he needed it more when we got there.:crutches:)I think my adrenaline kicks in and helps a lot, and I am working my legs out daily to build up strength before we leave.
