Hello all! My dad really does not want to rent a scooter while we are at Disney; he now wants to just use the rolling walker he has (it's the kind with 4 wheels and fold down seat). He doesn't use a scooter or the walker at home, but he will need something at Disney for walking around so much.

I haven't seen anything about using one of these walkes while at Disney. Do we leave it outside of attractions with the strollers?

Any advice is appreciated!! :goodvibes

It is so much walking a scooter is really the way to go I resisted using a scooter for way too long and I regret it I held everyone up causing a few hot tempered moments. I think of the scooter as something for the group not just for me it makes the whole trip soo much better

If he doesn't want to use a scooter or wheelchair, he can choose to park his walker with the strollers and just walk in line, or he can choose to bring it into lines with him all the way to the boarding area. It would be treated just like a wheelchair.
I would recommend bringing it into many lines - some are a very far distance to walk from the entry to the line until you board. For example, Soarin, Bug's Life and the Safari are more than 1/4 mile between the entrance to the line and the boarding/entry to the show.

Thank you! I was worried about leaving it with the strollers, and he could definitely use it in the long lines!

The seat would also come in handy to rest in the line. You could push him a little bit in it also, but they're not made to be pushed all day. My mother has one of these and really loves it. I have pushed her in it a few times from the car to the doctors office, but now she has a wheelchair. You might try the walker one day and see how it goes, but it would really be better to get a scooter. My cousin rents hers from Walker Mobility. That way you have it 24/7. It can be a long walk to your room after you get off the bus. If he's unsure about driving one, go to Walmart or any store and practice, practice, practice. Drive forwards, backwards, turning corners, and parking.
