Hi all,
Which rides are you able to use a baby carrier on (if any). It will be me, my husband, and our lil ones ages 3 and 1. We would like to bring our carrier for the 1 y/o especially if there are some longer lines but which rides can you keep your lil one in the carrier so that we can all ride together instead of splitting up.

Thanks!!!

I don't know the answer for sure, as we never used carriers, but in thinking about it I don't know I've ever seen a carrier on a ride. Doesn't mean they're not allowed, or maybe I just don't notice it. Why would you need to split up if the 1yo is not in the carrier vs staying together?

as long as the baby is facing forward they will allowed at Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, It's a Small world, Pirates of the caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Kilimanjaro safaris, Haunted Mansion, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Nemo, all those will let the baby ride with or without the carrier but for sure the baby must face forward when riding, as with many other "Rules" it will depends on the child size, the cast members and the type of carrier

I don't think the four of us will fit unless the 1y/o is on a lap or in a carrier. I was just thinking if we have him in the carrier in line, it will be a pain to take it off each time getting on a ride.

Unless the rules changed in the past few years... I always had my kids facing me in the carrier. I was never asked to take them out or turn them around.

Same. I never wear my babies facing out - not great for baby or mama. I have never once been asked to take them off or turn them around.

From my understanding workig attractions is the "policy" is facing forward and those over a certain age are not allowed to be on laps or in carriers any more. In practice most CMs don't care and will allow the guest to go through. With that said I was behind a family that held up the line at Winnie the Pooh because they were told the baby had to be turned to face out and they kept refusing so the CM
refused to launch the vehicle.

I'm going to be wearing my 7 month old son in our tula at the end of this week. The babies cannot face outward in a tula and many others have reported using the tula successfully on rides without height requirements.

In 2013 I wore a sleepywrap, which is essentially a large piece of fabric tied in a way around you to carry your child, and had my 9mo in it facing me and went on Dumbo, Ariel's ride, we saw some shows and such, but she was also rather easy to remove and put back into my carrier. I think I may have taken her out for Ariel's ride, though, so she could see better. I cannot remember. They will tell you if you need to, though.

We have done this a few times...always facing toward me and never an issue. Love Tula!

The disadvantage of using the carrier is that in an inward-facing position, the kid can't see a whole lot. This isn't a big deal for a younger baby, but I don't think my 17 month old would like it...I'm pretty sure he would have his neck craned around the whole time trying to see. Also, I just feel like it would be really hard on my back to strap 30+ lbs to the front of me. I have no idea how some of you do it.

It has been several years since we've done it so I'm not sure. I wore by babies in a sling on many rides when they were young. There were rides where they said the child had to sit next to me - but I don't remember which park or ride. It was easy though since I still kept my sling on. They were pointed sideways in the sling. (Cradle hold during our trip with a two month old. Hip carry with an 8 month old and then with a different baby at 11 months. And with a 2.5 year old but we took him out for the rides).

Kid grows and you adapt. My eldest hit 33 lbs at 16 months. And he was a sprinter, walking by 9 months and running soon after. So, yep, using the sling was so much easier than not! Then there was the trip my 2.5 year old refused the stroller. And refused to walk. So he was in the sling despite not using it for over a year. That was rough.

Right now I am actually wondering if I should bring my sling along as well, even though my youngest is 27 months when we go and I don't really want to have her strapped to me, but she often fights going in the stroller and wants to be carried (and is an incredibly slow walker, haha).

I think people meant wear them in the front and not in your back? I wore my kids facing me the entire trip an no one said anything.
