What is anyone's luck concerning a paid upgrade to club at check in. They did not have my dates with the pin for club. If available has anyone done paid upgrades at check in before?
Chances are if the Club Level was sold out and you kept trying before you left, then it will still be sold out when you arrive. Although you can ask at check-in and see what they say.

I have a dumb question...

Will concierge only make your reservations for the day you are staying? What about the night you check out?

I have a split stay. There are only two ADRs I care about getting, one at Jiko the night we check in to AKL concierge and one at ESPN Club (because BF can't miss the game) the day we check out and move to new resort...

We did a split stay and AKL IPO offered to make all our ADR's and other reservations. We only stayed with them 2 nights out of 11, but found their IPO to be the most responsive and helpful.
We were there in Dec. and my son had to watch several important  football games. I actually had a great time sitting there with him at the ESPN Club. The food was decent and it was a lot of fun. It never got unbearably crowded and it wasn't your typical sports bar crowd.

Thank you. :)

Does anyone have the updated email & phone # for AKL Concierge?

Multi time WDW visitor...first time concierge :cool1: .
We (DGD and I) are staying in the main building at GF. I haven't heard a word from them (concierge) . I've made all our ADR's but now I'm worried because I haven't heard anything from them. The main buildingat the GF is concierge....right?? They've assured me, when , in the past, I've called to confirm, that it is concierge, but would feel better with an assurance from the Dis people :lovestruc .

Also,is the main building Royal Palm (which I think it is) or Sugar Loaf...you can see I'm a real concierge newbie.

Once someone here on the dis boards assures me that we are staying concierge, I will e mail them (the concierge people) with my confirmation # and just politely let them know that we will be there and that I hadn't heard from them. Our dates are August 25th to the 30th.

Please let me know that I do have concierge, it's a special graduation present/trip for my DGD.

Thanks,

Karen

You are correct, Royal Palm is the main building concierge service. If you are booked Royal Palm, you are in the main building. I would email the concierge staff with your confirmation number, introduce yourself, and request what you need relative to ADRs, etc. Have fun planning!

We are a group of 9 adults and 7 children staying at SL in December (4 rooms). Is it better to make ADR's through the CM with IPO or with the grand gathering CM. We have an email from the CM at SL but have not heard anything about a grand gathering. Is there a thread here to find info about this? Who would we contact about a grand gathering?

Thanks - been to Disney many times but never with such a big group and never CL. Also, as you can see really new to these boards!

WL CL help needed.

I am thinking about ugrading to the WL CL and want to know what to expect. We have never been able to afford a stay like that and I want it to be extra special. Can anyone tell me about WL CL.

Hi, I am going on a girls only trip on May 1st and we are staying in a Deluxe Concierge room at the BWI. I have been know to have a cocktail at night and I was wondering if I email the concierge staff and ask for Stoli Razz and sprite can they get that for me and have it in my room? They have my credit card on file. Its just that im not sure if that is something they can do for me. Does anyone know? Thanks

We are planning a WDW trip for Dec 2009. It is going to be my parents, husband, myself, and our two daughters. Our daughters (age 3 and 5) want to stay at the Animal Kingdom so they can see all of the animals. My mother and I are wanting to stay at the Grand Floridian to see all of the beautiful christmas decorations. We are wanting to do concierge service. Can anyone answer these few questions for me:

1. What level of a room do I have to book to get concierge service level? I don't have to do a suite or anything do I because we are thinking it might be easier to do two seperate rooms.

2. Which hotel has the better concierge service? Opinions?

3. Which hotel has better views? and what should I ask for when I do reservations?

TIA! :thumbsup2

main building is RPC and is concierge. the reason they havent contacted you is well, they arent suppsood to. if you never contact or e mail them, they will never contact you, as they do not have a reason to. when we book there I e mail them, introduce myself, ask for them to confirm my resservation, and then if i ahve adr's or anything for them to make then i ask about that. they do not perosnalyl e mail every signle concierge guest when they make a resservation, that would take forever! lol. the IPO staff there is great though, adn they will help you with anything you need, so good luck:banana:

Can anyone tell me about the concierge service at the Wilderness Lodge? We are staying in the Jr. Suite and the only thing they had available was concierge level.............so I went for it. What can I expect? Thanks.

I would go through your concierge planner at SL GF. Our experience was that our concierge planner worked with the grand gatherings CM to make sure all our requests and wishes where taken care of. You concierge planner should be able to give you ideas of things to do, what is offered through GG and they have always worked very hard to make our trip beyond our greatest expectations.

You are going to be so wonderful pampered staying concierge level. :cloud9: Warning - You may find it difficult to go back to non-concierge. :scared1: WE DO! :)

:goodvibes

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the great information in this thread!

We just booked 3 AKL concierge rooms for Oct 5 - 10 and I had no idea what we were in for. I've had all of my questioned answered and more. Now if anyone had any pic's of the set up, I'd be :cloud9:

and it looks like we will have a dis's with us too, even better!

Thanks again everyone!!!

Actually, for about the past 6 months at least, my concierge stays have included automatic emails from "Corp
Business Objects" welcoming me to Walt Disney World and the particular resort ( so far from CR, GF and Poly). It is a form to be emailed back to the specific resort's itinerary planning email address and asks for all sorts of info, such as expected arrival time, flight numbers, if applicable, dinner show requests, recreation requests, and dining requests.
If Disney has your email then you should receive this form.
