Any recent feedback on the Sugarloaf CL at GF? We will be staying there in September. Also, how long should I expect between emailing them and hearing back from them. Thanks!
I emailed my ADR's to the Poly in advance. They confirmed that they had received them and that they would send confirmation numbers once they were booked. I made my own ADR's for a couple of hard to get things just in case. My 180 mark came and went and I never received confirmations. I then made the rest of my ADR's. After several emails, approx. a week after my 180 day mark, I got an email from the Poly that they had made some fo my ADR's, but that some wern't available. IMO, if I could make them myself at my 180 day mark, there is no excuse for them not being able to.

Here is a little pet peve of mine. If people are frustrated by the IPO for lack of service they have a right to be, however it is totally unfair to blame the Concierge floors/buildings because they have nothing to do with the IPO. The Cast Members who work in the IPO offices are 100% different from the Cast Members who work in the Concierge floors/buildings at the Resorts. So I just hope others can remember these facts. What is going on here?! I keep reading about everyone's IPO experiences (as well as comparing my own) and I'm AMAZED Disney is really dropping the ball on this one. At this rate, the concierge floors/bldgs are bound to lose all their business!![]()

I can see the points your are trying to make, especially the ones about the 1st time Conciegre guests who do not know much about Conciegre service at WDW and how things are done. So I guess as a Concierge veteran it's easy for me to say the IPO Cast Members and Resort Concierge Cast Members are different, even though that is 100% truth. As for the guests who do not recieve good service on the actual Conciegre floor or building itself, well that is a different situation and it makes me sad when guests post about things like that. However my family and I should not feel guilty because we have had good service, when someone else had not so much good service. Plus it's only natutal we have good dealings with the Cast Members because as you said yourself, after a few stays up there they start to know you.I completely agree with what you're saying. However, two important points here........First, you are well known at the CR and have had great service there (from what I've read). MOST people who stay on the CL floors do not REGULARLY receive outstanding service if they don't have a connection with the staff. Secondly, if a person's first experience with the "concierge experience" is with the IPO and the service is lacking... it will (and in some cases has already) deter people from experiencing Concierge. I've read more than a couple posts where people changed ressies from CL to regular rooms b/c they were not impressed with the IPO.
We've stayed at concierge floors at Disneyworld, Disneyland, and a couple other hotels in the country. I can honestly say that the concierge experience is "not what it used to be" at Disneyworld. Judging from some others posts, many feel the same way. I will say that we've stayed concierge at the three monorail resorts. The best staff we experienced at any was years back at the 12th floor CR "light" concierge. The worst was GF RPC, if you can believe it! In all cases, the folks serving the food were the nicest....not the attendants at the desks.
TAMMI.....are you out there???![]()
No you did not imply that my family and I should feel guilty. It was a general statement about my family having good service on the Atrium Club and others who have had not so good service at the other Concierge floors/buildings in the Deluxe Resorts. So you have nothing to worry about if you think you made my family and I feel guilty. You are ABSOLUTLEY correct....you and your family should NOT feel guilty b/c you are known atthe CR and have received great service. I think it's great and it's the way it should be! If you are known somewhere (restaurants, stores, etc.), it's only natural that you receive a different level of service. We have places we frequent here at home and also receive special service b/c of it. It's just the way things are. I hope I didn't imply you should feel guilty about that. I think it's great (and also enjoy reading your posts BTW).
Thanks, I was aware that there is one level ofconcierge at the CR now. I was just referring to our stay there some years back when it was "concierge light".
