thats to bad for many of you. I dont know what is wrong with the IPO service and why they cant see to get any of the ADRS straight. I got o tired of dealing the Poly IPO the past week. I cancelled my ressie and rebooked a room only at the GF. I love concierge, our last 5 trips have all been concierge but the service isnt consistent enough. If I could have gotten BWI I would have booked that because I now Jackie and Lorenzo would take care of us. SO Im taking a CLub break for now.
 
I'm currently booked to stay at the YC concierge in December (I went last year and loved it :goodvibes ), but I'm thinking of changing to the BW concierge level as I've heard such good reports about it. Are the concierge level standard rooms all on the same floor as the lounge and is it key activated like the YC?

We stayed at the BW concierge, and we got upgraded to a lovely suite. I was very pleased with the staff. I did not use them for any of my planning, but they took great care of us while we were there. I got sick in the middle of our stay and they helped to arrange for a doctor to visit me in my room and got my medicine delivered to the resort. It is one of my favorite resorts. I have never stayed at the WL so I can't really give a comparison.

This is for a long weekend trip, so I don't have a lot of flexibility for days and times. One of the reasons I like CL is the service that is provided, including making reservations. It looks like I will be on the phone myself this Sunday making my own ADRs.:sad2:

remember adrs are 180 plus 10 so 190 days out
call now if you can or re email them ASAP or leave them a message

most of the lounges have some kind of key system
at BWI there is a key to enter, WL you need a key to take the elevator to the 7th floor, same thing with BC but not the 7th floor. GF sugar loaf is a building thats only Club level and the poly is a buildingto the Hawaii building.
 
kteacher: The funny thing about that was, the day I called to make the ADRs myself, she called that afternoon to get my credit card so she could get started on them. Because it was so far out and not a busy time of the year, I guess it wasn't a priority. I did get all the reervations I wanted (I was at about 170 days out when I called), but I had to compromise on the time with one of them. None of mine were for really popular things like CRT or CM. GL!

I guess I'm a little confused. Are you looking for just an acknowldegement of your e-mail? They won't have confirmation numbers to put on your itinerary until after the reservations are made and from the sounds of it, that can't be done until Saturday or Sunday. Whenever I've worked with the pre-planners, I've asked that they send me an updated itinerary with the pending items listed and then to just notify me when they've been booked. It hasn't been a problem in the past, but it does seem like lack of communication is becoming more and more frequent with them. They need a major overhaul in the concierge department. To start, can't they simply generate an auto-response e-mail system that at least acknowledges that your e-mail was received???? I think that would calm alot of fears that our communication is floating around somehwere unseen. I've said it before, but it continues to shock and appall me, that a multi million (billion) dollar company like Disney has such archaic technology. It really needs to be fixed and the sad part, is that it's not all that difficult.
 
Tammi- my 180 mark is on Sunday,10/8. For previous stays I've emailed IPO with my requests and have received a confirmation of my requests, with a follow-up email detailing my itinerary once the requests are in the system. It does seem like there is some inconsistency as far as acknowledgement of requests.
 
Well, in my case, I emailed my ADR's to the Poly in advance. They confirmed that they had received them and that they would send confirmation numbers once they were booked. This is when I was working with Lissette. She was really great. Then all of a sudden I never heard from her again, and now I rarely get return emails to my questions. Since I couldn't get anyone to return my emails, I made my own ADR's for a couple of hard to get things just in case. My 180 mark came and went and I never received confirmations. I then made the rest of my ADR's. After several emails, approx. a week after my 180 day mark, I got an email from the Poly that they had made some fo my ADR's, but that some wern't available. IMO, if I could make them myself at my 180 day mark, there is no excuse for them not being able to. I am very disappointed with the conceirge planning people. This is my first conceirge stay and I really expected alot better service.

And that's not an unreasonable expectation. The quality of service has been going downhill steadily for quite a while now. I'd honestly be hard pressed to stay club level at a Disney resort again. It's a service that we've loved over the past 10 years and it saddens me to see the general decline going on. I'm not looking to get my moneys worth, or justify the cost, but I would like at the very least to get that higher level of service. Something that I'm just not seeing anymore. Disney really needs to take a long, hard look at this.
 
We've been staying concierge our last 6 times and have always made my own ADRs. I've had the CMs and some travel agents make various mistakes on me.
 
I have had nothing but STELLAR results from the Polynesian concierge team. They have helped me with every single one of my requests without any hesitation. They even arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered to Ohana's for my son's birthday.

Thanks for posting this. My family and I are staying in a Polynesian Concierge Garden room for the very 1st time this December and I was happy to read how the Concierge Cast Members came threw for you on your requests, which means they must be very good.

Hopefully you'll have the same great service, but it can be hit or miss. I think it was Kelly, aka Alicnwondrln, who ended up changing from the Poly to the WL because of their lack of service.

I know our experiences have been that sometimes we receive lukewarm service and other times, they've gone above and beyond. I just wish there was a bit more consistency.

I also hope we have great service and I don't really pay attention if some people have problems with the Concierge Cast Members at the Resorts and here is why. I remember a few months ago there was post saying how someone had problems with the Atrium Club Cast Members, however my family and I have never had problems with them. So there will always be someone with a negative experience to speak of, however I don't let things like that bother me until my family and I experience it for ourselves. Besides I have always said to myself and to my family when someone complains about something going wrong and they post about it, we might think it is not as bad as the person makes it out to be. Of course then we say to each other, we were not there so we don't know the whole situation.

I feel I am getting a great service, room, location and use of the lounge for a fair price. When you said "for that kind of money" it immediately flipped a switch in me to respond.

What exactly were you expecting that you did not receive?? What could it have been?? The room? The service?? The food??? Everyone that reads this board knows exactly what they are paying for, so knowing this info ahead of time how did you not feel like you did not have a wonderful experience. Many people read this board and base there choices on our recommendations, which are unfortunately sometimes biased.

Last summer I was booked to stay at the Poly and had some issues til we found Brandon who was great but is no longer there. We moved to the BWI to add days but the IPO was not good at all so we swtiched to the WL which was great. We had a great stay there.

I spent some time talking with KerryCM who as instrumental in helping me with my Feb visit. The visit was amazing but I dont think it would have been without her tips and help.

I hate to say it but my best Club visits have been those were I spent time getting to know the IPo staff and get some great tips from people on the DIS.

I got tons of tips about the GF from Tammi and Channing ( lives4 Disney), I got help with Poly, Beach Club and split resort stays from Muffycat ( joanne) and the BWI help from KerryCm. LisaRN and Beckie very helpful with my WL stay.

We cancelled our July concierge ressie because we werent hearing back from the IPO. I made all our own ADRS and I didnt get the itinerary til I had to ask for it more than once. We are now booked in at the GF and we are not staying club level, it isnt worth it for the service they are providing.

Its really to bad as many of us have written in and let Disney know about this stuff but it doesnt seem to be getting better.
