Ok, we booked YC...it may be against my better judgement, but DH really wants to give it a whirl. I have to let him have a say in where we stay. It's our anniversary trip. I'll let you know how it goes.
Until then, how are the evening offerings here? Any ideas what the typical appetizers are like? Desserts? Are there any nooks and crannies not to be missed here?

If you want in-room gifts, you can give them your credit card and they'll shop for you. Now you will need to have an idea of what you want. We did pin and lanyard sets and golden mickey ears the last time. They can help with a special in-room meal even. There's just so much they can help you with. I could go on and on. Have an awesome time planning and a terrific experience when you go. Let us know if you have any more questions!
The garden suites are so incredibly cute. I have a question, how many people are you proposing to put in one of these? The reason I ask is because they only sleep 4. They have a king bed and a fold out sofa. If you have a child under 3, he/she could sleep in a crib in the same room. They have garden views, do request to have one on the ground level or something to that effect. You'll have that exterior entrance with the garden walkway and the surroundings are so nice. Once you start describing it, they'll understand what you are talking about. I'd make a request through IPO when you do it. The down side to them is that you'll have to walk outside to get to the lounge. What's the quickest way to the lounge is what you're asking now? Unfortunately, I've not personally stayed in one so I don't know that answer. Sorry! However, I hear that the walk to the lounge is completely worth it and really not that daunting. Just some folks like to be two steps away from it. Here's a link to some pics of it, it's very cute. Just scroll through until you see BWI Garden Suites. There are many albums to check out here.
Anyhoo
I have decided to give myself a wonderful gift. CL at either the YC or BC. I'm leaning to the BC, but I saw somewonderful pics of the YC and now I cannot decide. Hey, I've at least narrowed it down to these two

Seriously though, they both sound wonderful. Okay, here's the question too....which one has the better view of Epcot? That will be a big deciding factor too. Food, Staff, (since everyone says both are fantastic, that is no problem!
) and view of Epcot, any help is greatly appreciated!!!
I just have to throw you off don't I?
Have you checked out the pics of both places? Try allearsnet.com and look at the many photos from different concierge levels around the world at *** edited to remove bad link *** . I think the rooms at BC & YC are both bright and airy, it's just the difference of hotel decor in the common areas. If you can live without SAB, I'd say you might prefer the BWI. The hotel staff are great...still same great IPO staff. Relaxed atmosphere. The lounge is a little larger. Plus, I personally know they have a terrific pool bar.
My DM and I went for Mother's Day and had a blast there. We had a boardwalk view and to the right you can see Epcot in from the balcony, but not a full view like looking from CR/Poly/GF to MK. If you'd be interested in BWI, I suggest a deluxe concierge room so you can guarantee that boardwalk view. Try requesting the room right outside the concierge door. I believe it's over the bakery or there abouts. Yep, we had that one. I just can't remember the room #. Epcot is kind of behind BC/YC. I would imagine the view would be limited from there. S/D have balconies and I think you guarantee an Epcot view (might want to jump on S/D thread to confirm that). I had the Pres. suite @ BC and I had a lovely lagoon view. I was looking towards BWI from my balcony. People typically call the lagoon a preferred view at BC/YC. I'm sure you can peek at Epcot somewhere from BC/YC, but I'm just not sure where. Even I'm constantly learning.
