Chelle,

Had you made your ADR requests via e-mail or phone?

I e-mailed mine last night, but I wonder if I should call as well.

I did send an email, today was my 180 day mark so I just called to see if the ADR's had been made. Everything was made and there was only one time that was not exactly what I wanted. It was CG and I wanted a 6 pm and got a 6:10. So it worked out great!!

We will have our first ever CL stay at the WL this November. I am very pleased with the service I have recieved from the IPO so far. They have returned emails very quickly and my ADR's were made on the 180 day mark. I got everything I asked for and the times were either right on the money or within 10 minutes of my requested time.

Is it appropriate to ask the CL staff to do your airline check-in for you? We don't have our airline tickets yet, but more than likely we will be flying Southwest and have an idea of which flights. DH and I were dicussing which park we should do on our last day so we would be able to duck out and hit a hotel so we could check-in for our flight and then it occurred to us, can CL do this? We're on the fence about it, on the surface it sounds OK, but it really has nothing to do with our Disney experience.

Thanks!

Yes this is something the CL staff do all the time. In fact on one of our stays at the GF we did not do CL. But I had the lobby concierge staff print my Southwest tickets for all 5 of us. And I would say that it is part of the Disney experience. Disney wants you to be happy and comfortable from the moment you arrive in Orland, till you depart.

I just wanted to post about how wonderful Don and Juanita at AKL are! :cheer2: They have made every ADR that I wanted, right at the times I wanted, and I have changed them three times. They are always so friendly and prompt (usually less than 6 hours!) about responding, and were more than happy to do all of our ADRs, even though we are doing a split stay at GF RPC. This is our first time doing CL, and I feel that they have already made it well worth the extra money. GF IPO, so far, is another story...

We have WL concierge rooms booked for later this year. Depending on a bunch of factors, we may need to knock those rooms back to courtyard view. If we do that, do we lose the ADRs that the concierge made for us or will they transfer with the ressie?

Thanks, Jackie

A great big DITTO! They have been great and their efforts alone justify the expense of concierge. This causes me to ask another question - what have others done to thank the concierge staff.

It's my understanding that you will lose any ADR's that concierge made on your behalf. You may want to double check that with them though.

These two, along with the other members of the AKL IPO, really enhanced our first time in too long vacation. I was overwelmed with the planning, and was concerned that I would not be able to secure our "must have" meals. They handled the entire process for me, and made changes as we drew closer to our trip.

I know that there are so many "regulars" who they deal with, but they made us feel special, as though we were the only people coming that week.

If you think that they are impressive before your arrival, just wait until you meet them!

we sent them a gift tower from harry and david full of treats

Should I be concerned? Originally, we planned to drive and later decided to fly. I asked Poly IPO to arrange ME (of course, they kindly agreed). Since we are switching resorts, I asked Don at AKL IPO to double check that our ME reservation is straight. I just wanted to be sure that all was set for a drop off at Poly and pick up at AKL (I'm neurotic that way ;) ). When Don sent my last itinerary ME is scheduled as should be.

I hope this doesn't get too confusing... :confused3 I made the Poly reservation through AAA. The AKL ressie I made on my own. When I paid off the AAA trip, I told the TA that we are now using ME and if the luggage tags are mailed to her to just pass along to us. She seemed a bit bewildered. She called Disney. She said the CM couldn't tell her anything because she hadn't dealt with anyone arranging ME through concierge :confused3 . So, AAA TA finally said, if she ends up getting the ME yellow tags she will send to us.

I know you don't NEED the yellow tags for ME, but I really prefer to have them. I just feel more assured that our luggage will arrive.

Do you think I will have a problem with the ME luggage tags getting to me? If so, what do you suggest I do?

TIA :goodvibes

I don't believe that a concierge CM can make any changes to a reservation. I'm pretty sure it's on another system. My guess is that the ME tags will be mailed to your travel agent, as they're the ones who initially set up the reservation.

Yes, Don and Juanita are great . They made all my arrangements to! Very pleasant and prompt as well. :)

I was just wondering if anybody staying at the concierge level who wanted a specialty cruise has NOT gotten one. We are interested in booking an Illuminations Cruise in October and have notified Poly IPO, but should I try to book from home as well? Or is it a fairly safe bet that IPO would get one before I would anyway? They seemed fairly certain on the telephone that we would get it, but paranoia of the less than perfect vacation is setting in........

They still have to wait and make the request at the 90 day window. I think your chances are pretty good with them, but no there aren't any guarantees. We had a problem with booking one during a December trip. A large group scooped them all and I know concierge guests who didn't get one at all.

Yes thats true about the 90 days. The Ipo staff at Akl was able to reserve
the Illuminations cruise for me in September. :cool1:

Thank you everyone for the info. If you send a gift basket to the staff at your resort, do you normally send it before or after your staff? Also, is there a special address you need to use or do you send it directly to the hotel to the attention of the Concierge staff?
