If it were me, to avoid any embarrassment at the ticket stand, I would go to Guest Relations when you get to your first park. Tell them you have park hopper tix and you're not sure how many days are left. They can scan the tix and tell you. If there are restrictions on the ticket it would show up then on the scanner and you could address it there instead of in front of a long line of people.
This is probably your best option.
If you're really anxious to know, you could probably mail them down and have them mailed back. I'm sure they would do that if you send a SASE with the tix.
Don't even think of doing this on your own. You will be opening an opportunity for a plethora of problems you really don't want or need, the least of which would be the name on your tickets not matching yours.
Nothing wrong with buying and selling tickets as long as they haven't been used so I wouldn't thing the name would mean anything.
The thing that has been overlooked here is that PHP's do not require any ID or finger scan to use them. All you do is insert them into the turnstile and go in. Your only concern isn't whether you will be able to use them, it's whether there's anything left on them to use. And that brings you back to the first paragraph here - go to Guest Relations and have the tickets scanned when you first get there.
