(sorry if this code has already been mentioned)
I called Disney yesterday because I found in my deleted email a PIN code. I didn't even notice it before because it was at the very bottom of an email that reminded me that I had a reservation saved on the Disney website. Come to find out it was just for 10%. Not that exciting... but she mentioned that my husband had a pin attached to his name. She said it was a better one. WOOHOO. (still wondering why no one mentioned either PIN codes the other 4 times I called??) So she switched me over to another department that was handling these codes. They told me it was a test run PIN that was sent out randomly to see how people might shop for vacations. Had to be paid in full. I told them that I was interested in a 1 bedroom or suite and told me that Kidani villas and Boardwalk were both available. Also told me that I could not put a hold on the room to make up my mind. The pressure was on.... I told them I would call back in a few so I could talk it over with my husband. We decided to go with the Boardwalk for ease of getting to/from Epcot etc (we have 2 little ones traveling with us) Plus we added on a 6 night and park hopper because the room at Boardwalk was about 300 cheaper. So they told me that if I needed to cancel, I would would not lose my money, it would be "banked" for a future visit. Is that what normally happens?? Anyways, we are going October 23rd. I am pretty darn excited. To give you an idea of the savings we are getting. I priced out the same vacation online and we are saving about $1200. I priced out the same vacation arriving in September(to get the free dining deal) and this PIN deal still comes out to be about $300 cheaper than that.
Because I am new to all of this, I am not sure this is the best best deal .. but I think I did pretty good. I was "this" close to booking the Coronado Jr. Suite for $300 more. This way I get a deluxe for cheaper than moderate. What do ya'll think??? Anyone else get this?
