used ds games from amazon?

we are getting dd a ds for xmas, and were thinking about buying some used games on amazon as they are so much cheaper, we could stretch our budget so much further. I am a little leery tho. Has anyone bought used items from amazon? what was your experience?

I have never bought used games from Amazon, however, I have had great luck buying used from Game Stop, local used stores & Ebay. I have never been skunked & we try to only buy used now.

My DD was given a "new" ds game for Christmas once. When she opened the case there was no game inside. My SIL had to admit that she bought it used at Gamestop. It did not come with instructions either which some people like to have. Be careful before you wrap up the gifts.

I have had no problem with used game purchases from Amazon. There is a feedback system similar to Ebay. If you can order something that ships directly from Amazon- even better. They guarantee everything.

Never had any problems! My kids don't care if they get used games, but I wouldn't have Santa bring them! There might be the previous owner listed in the game as a player, but no big deal. Sometimes My kids like that because they've unlocked things already. DS games seem to be pretty sturdy,too.

We have never had any issues with used game from Gamestop.

Plus Gamestop now only sells the cartages for used DS games. You don't get the case or instructions. I don't care but DH does so he does not buy used DS games from them but I do.

Gamestop has a 7 day return for any reason policy on their used games. I bought two DS game I did not like and returned them and got a different game. You have 30 days to exchange for the same thing. (Not sure what they do if they don't have another of the same game) I just bought something there about a week ago and the receipt said they are taking things bought now back until after Christmas with a receipt. Not 100% of the details.

Same with us, and my kids say the same thing about things being unlocked already, specifically with pokemon games.

I don't have a video game thing, but my DH has bought a couple Xbox games and hasn't had any complaints, I have bought some Books, DVD's and CD's from Amazon and they have turned out fine except for once.

I got a CD/DVD combo pack it...when it arrived the artwork was missing, the case was smashed and it was the DVD and NO CD. I contacted Amazon, and they gave me some kind of return authorization thing and UPS came and picked it up and they issued a refund.

I like the ones that say "fulfillment by Amazon", and Prime eligible... It should be a pretty good place to buy, and if it isn't to your satisfaction, Amazon will probably make it right.
