DS (7), DH, and I spent 12/3 to 12/10 at the World and used DP for the first time. It worked great for us -- I was nervous about encountering CM *attitude* and about exclusions, but everything went great! I'll give you the general idea of our experience -- please ask questions!

Used CS credits at:
The Lunching Pad (MK, Tomorrowland): turkey legs!
Roaring Forks (WL): breakfast and lunch
Flametree BBQ (AK): lunch
Foodquest (DTD, DisneyQuest): lunch
Pecos Bills (MK): dinner

Used TS credits at:
CRT: dinner
California Grille: dinner
Teppanyaki: dinner
Chef Mickeys: breakfast
Chefs de France (Epcot): lunch
Crystal Palace: breakfast

Used snack credits all over, lowdown is:
never encountered a cart or cs place without a menu that had the purple DP symbol to show how snack credits could be used. best surprise was hot apple cider at MGM counted; silliest thing was the places where you could ONLY get a LARGE water using credits (gosh, I only want the small water but no, I have to take the big one if I'm using credits!). Another treat was mickey head rice krispy treats at Roaring Forks. Someplaces let you get coffee with credits, others did not -- but it was all plainly marked on the signs.

We also spent plenty OOP at other TS places (Brown Derby, Artists Point, Liberty Tree tavern, Coral Reef, Whispering Canyon).

The only *negative* DP experience was at CRT and it wasn't a big deal to us but it might have been for another family: we told waiter as soon as we sat down that we were using DP -- he said great! -- we then ordered sparkling water to drink. He brought us "refills" when we'd finished our first round. He didn't say anything until the bill came -- THEN he told us there was a separate charge for the water. We would have ordered the water anyway, but it was just a bit inappropriate for him not to have told us when we ordered that it was not covered ($13). But that was pretty minor for a *worst* DP experience. Only place with an exclusion was Teppanyaki -- can't use DP for Sushi (but this was one of our highlight meals and we'd had a huge sushi platter at CG the night before so it had no impact on us).

what was the dinner menu like at cindy's for a picky meat and potatoes eater.
Adult or child? DH and I both had prime rib. It was good -- we both forgot, since we don't eat prime rib very often at all, that it's best cooked "medium well" -- we ordered it medium and the parts that were all brown were wonderful and tender, but the pinker parts were a little tougher. DS (7) ordered plain pasta, but ended up eating quite a bit of the well done parts of my prime rib. Prime rib came with mashed potatoes that had veggies mixed into them (a little odd, but OK). Rolls, which are basically like small pieces of soft, hot pretzels, were good.
