Welcome back, Robin. How was the trip?

The trip was wonderful

Mostly warm/hot and sunny but a lot of rain the one day.

My husband won second place for his level at the remote control airplane competition that we went to. He went absolutely no intentions of even doing well and he ended up doing fantastic.

He beamed for hours after the awards ceremony. It was worth the whole trip just to see that happen

The coming home part was not wonderful. The last twenty minutes of the drive were really treacherous.

There was a major snowstorm going on and the roads were sheer ice and the snow was blowing and drifting

Made us want to turn that van right around and go back to 89º and sunshine

I will report on my package contents as soon as I remember to bring the information to the computer with me

I received a package while I was away.

It came to me from Michelle, snowwhitesmom.

Inside I found:

and some really cool Disney stickers.

My postal worker told me today that international media mail can take 2 months to arrive I think the 2 going to Japan went that way. I am so sorry. Hopefully they will arrive faster than that.

Robin, your person sent her others first class, so hopefully yours will arrive soon.

I got a package in the mail today.

What a nice surprise on a dreary, snowy, yucky day.

It came to me from Jennifer (no DISname included)

Inside I found 2 hard cover books by Nicholas Sparks.

One is titled Dear John and the other is The Choice.

They both look very interesting.

I have never read any of his books so I'm looking forward to reading these.

Inside the cover of one of the books I found a little envelope with a coin or medallion of some sort with a whole in the middle?

Jennifer, you will have to explain to me what this is.

Just stopping by again to say that I am glad that we did this exchange. I enjoyed the book I chose-My Sergei: A Love Story. A nice book about figure skaters and love.

I assume that is a Japanese coin. Sounds like it to me.

Crusin- I'm glad that the package finally arrived. The coin is 5 Japanese yen. I like the coins with holes in them just because they are so different than what you normally see. I hope you enjoy the books
