someone is going to lose out on money.
what is sad is some poor person that is going to book thier 1st trip to disney and hasn't done research is going to get screwed! I ersonally would feel terrible for that person. It is not thier fault that someone was knowingly trying to take advantage and basically steal someone's money. The person selling knows damn well that they ticket will not work but the buyer may not. Yes the buyer should do research but still the seller is definatly at fault here. I am going to go on ebay and if it is still up, I am going to report them also. It is terrible!
Although I think its highly unethical to sell a used pass the seller does a pretty good job of explaining its at your risk and worst case scenario you can use it for parking which for some people might be worth it.
I doubt Ebay would take it down - the buyer is getting exactly what is advertised.

I think they lied their butts off.
They claim you can get discounts at the resort. False. If the name on the reservation doesn't match the name on the pass, it won't work.
As an AP holder, I have my finger scanned EVERY time I enter a park. Any other AP holders care to chime in? They claim only once in 25 times - That's complete bologna.
Honestly I am sure it work for the parking discount but that would be the only for sure thing.

When we went in March I demagnetized our APs with the magnet catch on my purse. It happened twice before I realized the problem. When we got to the scanner and the CM realized the problem they pulled us aside and issued new APs I don't remember them ever checking for an ID.
It's possible that if someone buys a pass on Ebay they will have a problem gaining entry and they will be pulled aside, issued new APs and then when they go back through the gate their finger scan will be associated with the new APs. It is also possible that the CM will check their ID but my point is that it could happen.
Sometimes tickets purchased as a group will be "linked" within the computer system so the persons who use them can exchange among themselves. We switched tickets tp test it, she got in fine with mine, when I used hers it didn't go through the first time so the CM just hit another button and I got in.
I can assure you, it'll still be up. Ebay could absolutely, infatically, positively care less about someone getting screwed, just as long as it's not them.

Exactly. I saw some guy selling playstation 3 boxes for $200 and $300. Empty boxes people. Nothing the idiots that paid that much could do because they got what the auction said they did. An empty box. Ebay doesn't care anymore.
I do think the people doing it are rotten jerks though. I've seen the military tickets on ebay too![]()
