Use Garden Grocers or Mail our own box?

We're sailing on the Wonder in late April, then staying at SSR for 3 nights. Last trip, we used Garden Grocer and it was great, we had the 1 BR and took advantage of the full kitchen. This time, because it's a shorter land stay, we're taking a studio...so it's just a little fridge. (But we want to still have snacks and munchies for DD). Should I still use Garden Grocer for snacks and drinks or just ship my own to SSR?

I keep think it'd be cheaper if I ship my own because I can use coupons here at home and buy stuff that's on sale. What do you think?

The U.S. Postal Service has what is called a "flat rate" box -- postage on these boxes are $8.95 for 2-3 day Priority Mail -- I think they are great if you are packing anything that has a little extra "weight" to it.

Case in point -- I packed my box yesterday, and mailed it to my resort. In the end, I wound-up saving $6 in postage (versus regular postage prices for a box weighing nearly 7 pounds).

Another favorite of mine is to buy my bottled water online at Costco and have it shipped to my resort (for free!). There's no deal quite like paying 1/10th Disney's price for bottled water...

We prefer the gardengrocer route because 1.) we like to order perishables such as milk, cheese, yogurt and hot dogs and 2.) we order lot's of HEAVY drinks like bottled water, soda and sports drinks to take with us to the parks and shipping would be crazy expensive.

But if you are just going with granola bars and dry snacks, then shipping would be fine as long as your box makes it to the resort...we traveled with friends who shipped 2 boxes with food and diapers/wipes and only 1 box arrived. The other box showed up 2 days after they went home!
