Use DVC points for DP XMAS day?

Hello, can we use points for the DP? Or is it just prepay the DP with cash/credit?

Also has anyone used the DP for one of the XMAS dinners (sit down) such as Whispering Canyon? We reserved XMAS day at noon there-but it is not yet released as XMAS dinner menu and no pricing yet.

If it is, last year was $59/adult correct? Doesn't that make the DP a great deal for that?
