Use DME or transport service to WL? Route?

We are a family with small children(5, 4) traveling to WL in August. Our flight arrives around 10 am at MCO and we're debating whether to take the magical express or to reserve private transportation.

If any one could share their experience on this I'd love to hear.

I am afraid that the trip from the airport to the resort could take too long and have irritable children(and husband) on my hands

Is there a set route that the magical express follows?

Since you're staying at a Disney resort and you won't have a rental car, I'd always recommend Magical Express. It's a part of what you're paying for by staying at a Disney resort -- and I think it's good!

The boarding process for DME is friendly and efficient and while there is never any set route to any Disney resort, I think you'll find the trip to be just fine. You may make stops at other resorts first but it doesn't take long if that happens. Or you may be dropped off first -- there's no way to know, but it's also not something to worry about.

The buses also run a video during the entire ride and that tends to keep everyone occupied.

Another vote for Magical Express. Our kids love the bus ride, they look forward to it every trip. As a Mom of little ones, I can't stress the convenience factor enough. DH and I love that we can drop our stuff at the airport and not deal with it again until we fly back home. It's so nice to get off the plane and head straight to ME and skip the baggage claim mess with 3 kiddos in tow.

Magi express. It's really easy. My kids love the movie they play and it's gets us all in the happy mood. The routes vary based on need so there is no way on knowing what stop you will be

There is no set route for ME.

GENERALLY, from the time you walk off the plane until you walk into your lobby should take ~90 minutes.

If you have private transport, that time will be ~60 minutes

Is saving 30 minutes (on average, could be more, could be less) worth the cost? That's up to you.

Another benefit to having a private service is most will stop at a grocery store for you to pick up "necessities".
