usage/application of gift card promo

Hello Everyone. So I have a few questions regarding the gift card promo. If these have already been asked, I apologize, you can just point me in the direction of the answers...1) When I am pricing vacation packages online, the final price for example $2000; that's not with the price of the gift card removed, right? Does that make sense? 2) Can the gift card be used at most restaurants, quick service or otherwise? Thanks for any information!

1. Correct the price does NOT take off the gift card. You will pay the price quoted and upon arrival you will receive the gift card when you check in.

2. Yes. and many people are using the gift card instead of purchasing the dining plan.

Correct that the gift card does not have anything to do with the bottom line of you package cost. Guests receive the gift card when they check in.
The gift cards can be used most anywhere, if not everywhere. (Whereas the merchandise cards are for merchandise.)
