US school holidays in January

Hi there! I posted this on the UK board but thought its probably worth posting it here too. Just wondered if anybody knew when the schools would be going back after New Year's in the US. We arrive on Saturday 1st January, so wanted to know how long it would be till the parks are quiet again. Also, what are the best activities when the parks are busy. We hava 2 adults and 3 kids ages 5, 3 and 1.

Here in Southern New Hampshire, we'll be back in school on Monday, January 3rd!

Most elementary and secondary schools reopen on the first weekday following New Year's Day, so January 3rd. Colleges may be out until about the 12th. There is also a Monday Bank holiday during January, for Martin Luther King's birthday (in 2005 it will be the 17th.)
