Us reservation number

The US site seems to be down and has been most of the day - thought it was just me but tried on the other 3 laptops in the house and the same thing happened. I guess I'll just have to wait before making sure my ref works.

They should at least try and put some sort of message on if they are experiencing problems.

I know! :confused3

It's working again now, finally. Good news: I was able to retrieve my reservation with the 8-digit number provided by Disney UK. :thumbsup2

I will now (impatiently) wait for the August hours to come out...

Now you have me confused(easily done)
Don't think 8 digit UK res # are supposed to work on Disney.com.
Is it the 3 letter 5 number US res#
Or is it the 8 number UK res# and you have looged into your reservation on Disney.co.uk
If its the 8 number UK res# you have have used to link ADR's on Disney.com its the 1st time I have heard of that.

Yeah, it's the one with three letters and five numbers I used (on the online dining bit on the .com site). It said that any dining reservations I make will be linked to my booking (it showed the dates and the hotel). This is the number I obtained it last night when I called Disney UK. Hope that makes sense?! :)

Yes now it makes sense, it was given to you by Disney.co.uk but its your US res# if its 3 letters & 5 numbers :thumbsup2

Yep, that's right. It's crazy how there are so many possibilities with the reservation number(s). I wish they'd just use the same format for everyone!

I feel sorry for people who aren't on the Dis (or similar sites), who will potentially run into trouble when they come to book their ADRs.

I just tried it again after coming home from work and it's gone down again - I think I'm just impatiently wanting to make sure that my res number works, although I'm sure it will. I'll just keep trying it I guess!! :surfweb:

I half expected them saying contact disney.co.uk so was happy they gave me it. Works for dining reservations but can't access my hotel res on .com with it(can't do online checkin etc) couldn't last year either but online dining is all I want to do.

I have found a way of checking in online. I used my US ref number (which I got by emailing disney uk) and then going to a website.

I clicked on the 'through your travel agent' option (I actually booked though disney.co.uk) and I was able to check in this after noon!

Can anyone tell me how to post links as I am new and it won't let me type the address?

Suzyh

You need to have a certain amount of posts (5 or 10, I think) before you can post a link....so keep posting!!! and welcome!!

Yay!! Glad you got my PM, I wasn't sure as it said I had to have more posts etc. I can't remember how I found that website.

I don't understand why you can't access the online check-in the normal way on 'my disney reservation'. It would make things a lot more easy for people.

Thanks for that link - I've been able to add my celebration onto the booking! I just wonder why the UK don't have a similar system on their website.

just tried to log in using the link above and it says that the info does not match their records - I got the US res number from Virgin - anyone know why this doesnt work? thanks x

Have you tried without the letters, just the 12 digits?

Is there any noticeable benefit to doing the online check-in? Presumably the process is a bit quicker at the desk, but I haven't found that terribly time-consuming anyway.
I also wonder if it has any impact on the possibility of receiving an upgrade - if it's done by a person maybe you'd be more likely to get an upgrade than if it's done automatically :confused3

It supposed to reduce queueing time when checking in - but we have never experienced more than a couple of people in front of us.

From what I have read in the resorts board they say that doing online check in greatly reduces your chance of an upgrade - for that reason I wouldnt both unless I was staying at a value :thumbsup2

When I did on line check in yesterday I had to fill in credit card details, my address and phone number etc.

You could request certain room types, eg ground floor room and near transportation.

I have already paid for a room upgrade, so I wouldn't be getting any perks if I checked in normally.

I am planning on getting to the hotel about 8am (I know I won't be able to get the room that early) but I want the parking pass so I don't have to pay for parking at Disney studios. So from doing on line checkin I hope the process is very quick! :)

Ok, I now have a 12-digit number too. :rotfl: Disney replied to the email I sent the other day!

I'm just wondering, when I come to make my ADRs and I retrieve my reservation online, will the system automatically realise that I'm allowed to book for my first 10 days?
