US/IOA, open after fireworks on 7/4?

Hi, we went to MK for fireworks last 7/4...and the park stayed open for a few hours after the display was done. It was like E-night w/out the additional $12 fee. I'm not sure if it was just a fluke or they do it every year. Does US/IOA do the same thing? Or is it a hush-hush type thing...if you're there and hang around they may stay open? Anyone know?

The fireworks are usually the last thing of the day. However, if you are in a queue line and the park closes, you get to stay in the line until it's your turn to ride. I would expect the queue lines to close around when the fireworks go off.

We watched the July 4th fireworks in IOA last year. The rides all closed when the fireworks began. People were only allowed in certain areas of the park during the fireworks and nothing was open afterwards. In fact, we coulnd't even find a place open to buy a cold drink while we were waiting for the fireworks to begin!
