I am going to use the free ticket that Universal sent to me this Sunday. I haven't been there in several years, so I don't know how the crowds are, etc. Would it be better to start earlier in the day? We are interested in going on the Mummy ride for sure. Suggestions? I live about a mile away, so we could go home for awhile and go back later. What to you guys suggest?

Hi - you mean 6/25?

I would get there early and ensure you have a good few hours whilst it is not too crowded, and then have a break returning late afternoon/early evening.

Yep, I did mean 6/25 (my uncle is in town visiting overnight & we were out to dinner late last night, so I be sleepy, as opposed to dopey :teeth: ).

I noticed that the park is open 9-9 this Sunday, and I was trying to convince the friend going with me to come over to my house at 9am, we'll drive down the street to US and spend some time there until 2ish, then leave for lunch and go back later in the afternoon. Not sure if that will fly with her, but I guess I could always go back later myself...

Thanks for the tips!

Don't mean to add to your crowds, but we are using our free ticket that day also. :)

I would get there early as well. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be using their free tickets that weekend. I believe it's the last weekend or weekend before last before they expire so a lot of people probably planned their trips around it.

Definitely be at the turnstiles by 9:00 AM. Hit Mummy and MIB first at the studios or Hulk and Spiderman first at IoA. Don't stroll in there late in the day or you'll be waiting in long lines. It's summer vacation time. The blackouts start next week for Power Pass holders so that's a sign the crowds are building.

BTW, did you use to post on the Doombuggies board? If so, I may have met you in real life.

The free ticket I got was one that they mailed out to locals in the mail (randomly) back in March or April. It does expire Monday, so I thought to get over there to at least ride The Mummy. That is what I really want to do. Although I am going to DL with some other friends in August, so we might end up going to UH if Sunday doesn't work out.

I would love to get to the turnstiles at 9am, but that won't happen. I have to work at DTD Saturday night until 12:30am. :teeth:

BTW, did you use to post on the Doombuggies board?
Yes, i post over at DB. I don't get over there too often, since 1) my lunch hour at my office is now 1/2 hr and 2) ghost1000 & chef Mayhem have roped me into being a mod at TNT (see below). :teeth:

I have done DB envents at the HHB in 2002, 2003 & 2004, so you could have met me then, if you went to some of those get togethers.

Yes, I'm almost positive I know you. I sent you a Private Message.
