Great review of California Grill! Now I think I know why we missed each other that night -- you were in the wine room (which I have to admit, I know it exists, I'm just not really sure where it is). I was at the bar by around 7 and I kept scanning the restaurant to look for you guys. It was crazy, busy there though so I just figured there was no way we'd see each other. I may have to ask to be seated there next time -- sounds like it would be a much quieter meal. The main room is definitely loud!

Glad you enjoyed your meal there -- mine was great too and I plan on going back next October as well

By the way, I'm jealous that you're going back to WDW again so soon -- and you'll actually be there to celebrate my birthday, so you'll have to have a drink for me I've never been to WDW during the holidays but am considering going next year for my birthday. I'll be curious to hear how the crowds are. For a fleeting moment I considered going the week between Christmas and New Year's this year since I am already off of work, but then sanity struck and I realized there was no way I wanted to deal with those crowds. Hope you have a great time and looking forward to more foodie reviews!

I am sorry we missed you also! By the time we were leaving we looked for you in the seats but is was crazy busy and we didn't see anyone we knew! The wine room is all the way at the back, farthest away from the bar!

When is your Birthday? I will let you know about crowds. We have only been for Thanksgiving and then the 1st week of December. I expect it to be busy this time but the holiday stuff s just so cool! We only have 4 full days and have to take a red-eye out to do it but we had the points and Jason had the time so .. we are crazy. We did this once for the Star Wars event too. That was the most crowded we have ever seen - lets see what this is like!

We just got canceled on for today by friends! See it's raining here in San Diego and everyone are like turkeys looking at the sky going" WOOO! What is that wet stuff falling from the sky?!" So we will do an update when we download more pictures!

Day 5 or The Day that fell into the Ditch!

Again not wanting to have a day away from Epcot and the food booths Jason and I are back - We did ride Sum of all Thrills this morning and it was a good time! I didn't take pictures because we were not eating - - but we do recommend it!

Here we are with Rafiki on our way back to the World Showcase

So we headed back to the booths and picked Mexico to start with! As we are standing in line we get the happy surprise of Jay and Brenda - who we tried to meet for a drink the night before but we got caught on a broken down Haunted Mansion for a 1/2 hour and we missed our booze!- They were headed the same way around the "world" so we now had ourselves a party!

1st Food of the Day -
• Quesadilla con Chorizo $3.75
Dos Equis Beer $4.50 - You know we don't always drink beer but when we go to the Food and Wine Festival and are at Mexico and they have crappy wine - we prefer Dos Equis! (our apologies to the most interesting man in the world!)

The Taste of Spain was Meaty goodness! I love pork, cheese, olives and bread! This is how I achieve my Rubanesque figure!

The Crema Catalana was a Lemon Creme Brulee! It was very tasty!

At this point Brenda and Jay had a class at the Welcome Center so we said see you later to our Bestest Food Friendies and forged on our eating path!

1st we did go see the Trolls!
We were told we are not the first to go this way NOR WOULD WE BE THE LAST!

I love this 1970's painting - they make you think all men in Norway look like Chuck Norris!

The Trolls made us hungry (as you can see a slight wind will do the same! ) so off to Cape Town!

Cape Town Food Line 5 people long DO-DA DO-DA! Meat with Sweet Potatoes with sauce is a must DO-DA DO-DA!
• Seared Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato Purée, Mango Barbecue Sauce $4.75

We loved this! It was Meat and POTATOES! How really could it have been bad! The meat was tender and the potatoes were creamy!

Then it was off to (yes! I have another song!) One night in Bangkok and the Soup had no Oysters - Just chicken goodness and a beer!

• Chicken and Coconut Soup, with Mushrooms, Lemongrass & Ginger $3.25
Singha Beer $5.50

This was disappointing! We love Thai food and this was just OK! No spice and not a lot of flavor!

One more booth(and song) MY BOLOGNA !!!! WE HAVE AQUA PANNA! DU DUNA DU DUANA(sung to my Sharona) We Got CANNELLONA -I mean Cannelloni!

Chianti Placido $4.00

This was cheesy wonderfulness! I want one now! It was also a huge portion!
