US & Canada PTR - 2 sleeps to go, wow

They are cute Shushh. I'm going to show them to the Diva, see what she thinks. Thanks for sharing the link.

Okay so I changed my avatar a while ago so Jessnewb and I weren't the same but although it was very "shuttergirl", it just did work for me. I've decided I need to change my avatar more often, to suit my mood, the trip I'm planning, whatever is happening.

I love the new one I've put up. It is all furry snowy Christmassy goodness to symbolise the upcoming trip and my favourite princess is Snow White so the apple symbolises that and with the apple in her hands it creates the shape of a heart and I love Disney and trip planning :lmao:.

I love it! Very appropriate :thumbsup2

Yay for lists, I love a good list :thumbsup2

I'm big on lists, but then when it comes to crunch time I hardly use them! I'm a list girl who wings it :dumbo: Maybe I'm just a contradiction but I like having lists as a safety net in the back of my mind. And I even make lists of clothes and check them off as I pack them...but I can never remember where I left my keys, or sunglasses, or watch or...

Thanks Andona, I think it's super sweet.

I'm a bit like this Marlea. I think the act of writing it down actually locks the information in my head but I always feel better having the backup of the list.

Damn Jetblue. After cancelling our flight from Buffalo to Boston on us in August and us rearranging our schedule to fly into Boston a day earlier - they've gone and done it again.

It worked to our advantage last time because we decided to fly into Boston a day earlier which meant we could get our DS tickets to see the Celtics play that night which will be a massive surprise for him.

But now they've done it again. The other flight options would see us either missing the game or having to leave Niagara at 4.30am in the morning - neither of those options suited. They did offer us a flight with a 2 hr stopover in NYC but I'm sick of them so told them to jam it, give me a refund, which they have done.

So then I booked a flight with US Airways which has a stopover (Jetblue are the only ones that do direct for reasonable money) and get this, I saved $310. Which covers the cost of those Celtics tickets so again, I guess it all happens for a reason doesn't it.

I was feeling so stressed about this but saving that much money for a 1 1/2 hr wait in Philly isn't too bad. My DH is excited because now he can say we visited another US city. I said a visit to the airport doesn't really count :lmao:.

It counts! It counts!!!!

Yay for the savings, even if it involves a little bit of a wait. Boo to jetblue with mucking around with the plans of an obsessive compulsive planner!

Okay so I'm shattered that Olivia Newton John isn't doing our Candlelight Processional now but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

They have just announced Lea Salonga who is the singing voice of Jasmine and Mulan.

Here she is recording "A Whole New World":- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pi_Ocd9IALc

A beautiful voice and I'm sure we will still have a wonderful experience.

Lea Salonga is gorgeous. She was who I dreamt of becoming in my youngers when I was mad about stage musicals. A tangible idol as she is Asian!

Awwww, that's a bit cute Shushh. She is a stunning woman and her voice is truly beautiful. I'm sure we will be very happy we got her.

I love me a stage musical too and only wish I had some talent to be able to take to the stage.

My DD is a beautiful singer and broadway jazz is her best area of dance. She would be delicious in a stage musical and we have contacts for lots of local stuff but she won't sing publically and until she does, my dream dies with her :rotfl2:

Yep, it counts!

Did you know i've been to Atlanta??

Sorry, if you never leave the airport, it doesn't count. If that was the case, I've been to Chicago dozens of times. In reality, only twice.

If you fly in and then immediately drive out of the city leaving the airport, then you can count it. So, Toronto, yes. Philly, no.

Besides, no-one should be proud they've been to Philly.

Hahaha, it's ok Pete. I wasn't really going to count it. Just having a joke:laughing:

It counts if you buy the postcard and the fridge magnet. If you only buy a Cinnabon it doesn't count.

I have lots of Atlanta Olympics fridge magnets and a postcard - one trip I did, Atlanta seemed to be the hub airport at the time, I visited Altanta 3 times that trip and never left the airport, I must've flown over some Olympic stadium 6 times, but I never left the airport. (this was last century, pre internet, using a travel agent, I think I went SYD, LAX, Salt Lake City, Atlanta, New Orleans on one leg - 36hr to New Orleans from Syd, 'visiting' 3 airports!
