Hi

We're looking at booking flights for a last minute trip in October and are getting a good deal on US Airways flights from Dublin.

We havent flown with them before and wondered if any of the wonderful dis'ers could help.

Any comments or feedback on them as an airline would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

:wizard:

Booked for next year. They do not supply IFE on domestic flights. Other than that, they seem just as hit or miss as all the other airlines.

We've just flown US Airways, LHR to Charlotte NC and then Charlotte to Orlando.
Can't complain at all. A steady supply of soft drinks with pretzels for the first drink, food options seemed ok, meatballs or pasta. The staff were friendly enough and the IFE was up to date.
Hopefully all will be ok on the return leg.

I've used them for two trips and both times they were great, I would happily use them again :thumbsup2

For the reduction in price compared to VA and BA it's fine I did this 2 years ago , the service was good only problem about 10 people were stuck at MCO as our luggage didn't arrive with us. It was delivered to my hotel the next morning so no big drama

That's good to hear just booked them from LHR to MCo and back from Tampa ...... Don't want to come across badly but are alcoholic drinks or wine with meal served too? Don't mind paying if need be! At £500 a return flight I don't mind where I sit or what I drink so long as I know within reason what to expect

I don't know about other alcoholic drinks but there's complimentary wine with meals on the transatlantic flight - which is pretty much all the alcohol I drink when flying so that suits me :thumbsup2

On the domestic flight, non-alcoholic drinks are free; alcoholic drinks (wine, beer, spirits) are $7 each. Snacks are also chargeable, so grab something at the airport if you're peckish.
