US AIRWAYS/EXPEDIA--Itinerary changes ????

Hi all

I just booked flights with UA Airways through Expedia (my credit card miles were used to purchase 3 out of 4 tickets and they go through Expedia).

This is the first time I have booked with Expedia as we usually fly SWA.

So, today I get an email that my flights have changed--instead of leaving at 12pm we leave at 4pm. This is for April travel.

I have checked the US Airways website and the original flight is still listed. Is this normal? I'm just not sure what to expect.

Of course this also changed the seats. Do I then have to call the airline to get the seat assignment?

Sorry for all the quests! SWA is so much easier when it comes to booking.

I tried Expedia first and they told me it was USAirways doing. I unfortunately have not been able to get a hold of someone at USAir.
 
Keep trying USAir. You might be on hold for awhile, but hang in there! Explain that your flights were switched to an unsatisfactory flight, and you prefer an earlier flight. (The original flight if possible!!!) Check the USAir site, and write down the flight numbers of your original flights, flights to which they switched you, and the flights you prefer. Since it was their change, they will grant you a flight you prefer if it is available.

I am a frequent USAir flyer. This has happened to me in the past. I have called and received the flights I prefer without any hassle.

On the USAir site when you bring up flight times you can also check available seats. Pick a flight, and write down the seats you prefer before you call USAir. You will be well prepared!

Just a thought...usairways.com has an online CSR chat service That I have found very useful. More so than being on hold for a rep. You might want to give that a shot.
 
Expedia should be fixing this for you. They're your travel agent in this case.

Unfortunately, Expedia won't help. I've been down that road before!
Honestly, the best way, is to go directly to the problem-USAir. If you're prepared with the proper information (flight times, seat numbers) they can quickly and easily change your flight.

Exactly! After my Expedia issues, I never used them again!!! They appear to be good at taking orders/reservations, however, poor to non-existant at customer service.
