US Airways $99 Companion Reward

I have a US Airways Platinum Visa card. One of the rewards on the card is two $99.00 US Airways companion tickets with the purchase of one ticket valued at $250.00 or more. The companion certificate states travel must be completed by 12/31/05. We are planning 12/26/05 through 01/01/06. Will US Airways honor the two companion tickets even though our return is after 12/31/05?
