Is there a way to check usair seat assignments online? I'm looking through my paperwork & it looks like my husband & I may have seats in a different row from our infant. I'm sure they really aren't, but I'm wondering!!! People make mistakes sometimes :)

Also, does anyone know why seat assignements change? Originally we were up in 11, and now we are in 24.

Thank you!

I can't remember if USAir has seat selection online like Delta and American, but I don't think so. Why not just call them? If you are in different rows, explain taht the infant needs to be with at least one of you. It is possible that you might not all be able to sit together, but worst case scenario is that the FA's juggle to get at least on of you with the baby. The number is the row, the letter is the seat. They might have changed you due to an equipment change.

I did call & we are together, but we got moved to the back of the plane!! They said that when the aircraft changed all of the seat assignments changed. The two adult tickets were reissued because of a price difference (we got vouchers), and the infant ticket was not. They only sent new itineraries for the adult tickets, and the seats were different than the original ones. The infant ticket seat changed as well, but they didn't send us anything stating this.

I liked our other seats better, but I was told that they can't change them until the day of the flight :(

Actually, you are probably better in the back of the plane. It will take you longer to get in and out of your seats on boarding and deplaning. By being in the back you will not be holding up any other passengers with this process. My sister, BIL, are flying in November with their 2 and 5 year olds. They purposely booked the last row so that they can take their time getting on and off without feeling pressured by other passengers.

No offense, but I wouldn't mind seeing a rule that anyone with kids needs to be ticketed in the back half of the plane, simply to streamline the boarding and deplaning process. Especially the deplaning process, as the front part is clearing, they can be taking the extra few moments that it takes with kids to get situated to get off.

Well, I've seen it take forever to empty the plane, even when there aren't any kids on board. I'm only a little offended. But if you're on my flight, you can be happy that I'm in the back, where I won't inconvenience you.

I've only flown twice with an infant, and the first time we were the last people off the plane, by choice. The second time, an ADULT was holding up the line so we got off. I travel very light, except for the car seat.

And as for boarding, US air allows us to preboard so I will not be bothering anyone.

Same exact thing happened to my family. I picked seats towards the front of the plane; they changed the plane, then we were in row 25. In the particular plane we were on, this was only a few rows from the very back of the plane which was very noisy with vibration. Also, my husband and son got stuck in seats opposite the flight attendants' seats which meant their seats didn't recline at all, and they were disappointed about that. I'm pretty sure there isn't anything you can do right now, but I'd sure request a change when you get to the airport if you want better seats.
