The hole doesn't look too bad. Some jeans come that way. I like the idea of patching it from the inside. I hate it when my favorite pair of pants gets ripped or worn out and I can't find another pair because the style is discontinued. Now when I find a great pair of pants, I buy several of the same kind. Good luck in this urgent matter. I feel your pain.
