Hi!
We go to WDW in just under 2 weeks and I want to take a stroller with us for our 18month ds. At home we still either use our silver cross 3d pram system or his smart tryke when we are out and about.

We went to mothercare and toysrus last weekend and I was all settled on the chicco liteway stroller as was under £100 in the sale and I liked the fit and feel of it better than the others in the range. However I've yet to read a good review of it. All the reviews say that the wheels are bad after a couple of months. I was going for this one as it's also from birth and should we ever have another baby I might use it...

So I need to choose a stroller asap. Any advice?

My next choice (I think) is the new mothercare whizzi... I didn't like it as much - and as it's new there are no reviews yet... I want it light for carrying (on and off buses) and also with recline and hood...

Thanks so much :)

I don't know them ones I'm afraid but personally I like maclarens. I have the techno xt and love it. make sure you get one that is cmfy for your little boy but is also comfy for you to push. You will want one with a good recline as he will get tired out and if he can get comfy for a good nap everyones life will be easier

Another vote for the maclaren techno xt !!!

I also really like my mamas and papas pliko but they are a lot heavier and for the purpouse of a holiday really love my maclaren xt I have had the same one for all 4 of my kids andit really is worth spending the money its still going strong !!

You can't go wrong with Maclaren, we have a few different brands where I work (nursery) and the Maclaren is the only one I like using. Don't think much of Silver Cross, Mothercare or Graco ones.

Thanks all for the help! I'll get on and do a search for the maclaren xp... and let you know how we do :)

LOL finding the XT rather than the XP was easier! It's a bit pricey I think - but looking at the triumph or the quest sport...

Thanks again everyone! I bought the Maclaren Quest Sport from mothercare website this am! It was smaller and lighter than the XT, so chose that in the end... haven't seen it so feel rather brave, but it had fantastic reviews :)

When Ethan needed one we bought a Maclaren Daytripper which was great very light weight and easy to fold/ unfold with one hand a great adjustable harness with a three point locking system and had a net basket on the bottom and came with it's own rain cover and two seat back positions ( worth it's weight in gold in those Orlando downpours). It only weight about 3 kgs and was easy to take on the buses and the WDW monrail and even on trains. Ethan used to fall asleep in his often and even watched a few parades and fireworks shows sat in it.

They may have improved it by now but for us at the time it was ideal .. the handles were just the right height and the wheels you could change from fixed to swivel in a flash and the brakes were pretty good too. As with any stroller just don't overload it. It travelled well and even though one wheel came off on an airport conveyor belt it soon snapped straight back on and we never had any other problems with it.

Well everyone my Maclaren quest sport has arrived and I love it! Not been out with DS in it yet as not wanting to use it in the snow... but it's so light, and easy to fold and put up and down! Yippee! Great advice - Thanks :cool1:

Our trip is coming up so quickly and I have a house full of stuff to pack... oh I'm so excited :yay:

Thank you so much for all the advice re the stroller. It's been fantastic. DS slept in it every day, the extendable footrest was really useful for this as was the 5 point recline, and when it rained the last 2 days the raincover was also very handy! It was so easy to fold and carry (although it took DH most of the trip to figure it out) so getting on and off buses was relatively hassle free :)
