Has anyone been to JTA this past week? Any tips on how to lineup to get to fight Darth Vader? We are going to be there later this week, and although I've read some of the JTA threads, I'm still not sure....your help is greatly appreciated!!

We were there in Jan but participated in 2 different shows. Both times it was the line closer to the lake upon initial lineup at check-in that fought Vader. There are 2 lines - one very close to a half wall/planter that has various trees and plants in it, and the other is closer to Echo Lake (though not "close" as there's a walkway between the line and the lake). Everything I have read since our Jan trip has had the same lineup. But you know Disney - they coukd change it at any moment!

Just about the same last week!

We were there a week ago and did Jedi training May 12 and 13. On May 13, they changed where they have the kids line up. It is now in the covered area where the sign ups are to keep the kids out of the sun while they are waiting. There is a rope chain that separates the kids from the parents. The Vader line is the one closest to the chain. The one closer to the wall (farther away from the parents) will fight Seventh Sister.

It's easy to remember and this works no matter where they line up (at least so far).
As you stand looking at the kids in line, the line on the left side is Vader and the line on the right side is Seventh Sister
Once they get to the stage, facing the stage, the line on the right goes up to fight Vader and the line of the left stays on the ground to fight the Seventh Sister.
They may change but it's been like this since they started 2 levels (and was like this when they did double JTA during SWW)

Same last week for us.

We will be signing up for JTA June 10. I have four girls. How many kids participate in each show? I want to get them all in at the same time if possible. Recommendations as far as that's concerned?

Rough guess is 20, 10 on the stage and 10 on the ground.
May be 2 or 4 more than that.
Shouldn't have any problems, just get there early so you have your pick of times.
And watch the weather, especially afternoon storms that time of year.
They are known to cancel this with even a small amount of rain

Thank you so much! It looked like there were more than a few kids for each show but I wanted to be sure. I am tempted to try for the evening anyway since I read that the light sabers show up better in the dark.

When we were there last August (before new changes) DS wanted to battle Darth Maul...when signing up we mentioned this to CM and they put him at time and in the group for Darth Maul. As I always say, it never hurts to ask.
