Urgent Opportunity for GAD with Project Linus

I just got this e-mail from Project Linus in Urgent need of blankets to send to the children of Haiti. If you still need a project this could be a win, win situation. Here is the e-mail I was sent:

Blanketeers,

I just got an urgent e-mail from Mary (Pres of Project Linus) in ILL. She got a phone call from Heart to Heart asking if Project Linus could furnish 10,000 blankets for the children in Haiti. She said, “OF COURSE WE CAN”.

Now we need to prove what Project Linus is all about, Helping Children in Need.

I need HAND MADE blankets of any type or size (just not too tiny, boxes, shipping tape, and money for postage to ship them to Ill then to Haiti. All money will be used for shipping, none will be kept by Project Linus.

These blankets must be in Ill before March1 so they can then be packaged and shipped to Haiti.

I know that we can do our part. Let me know what you can do to help. Tell your friends, put in your church bulletins. Lets show that Wichita/South Central Kansas cares about these children by giving them a Kansas blanket hug they won’t forget.

Please let me know if we can make them and ship them to IL. We'd love to do this for the GAD promotion, but even better if we can help those poor children in Haiti. PM me (or post) the info as soon as you can and I can get started this weekend!

I would also love to do this. The two PL chapters near me have never returned my emails about making blankets and the email from the PL VP just tells me to contact the local chapter. I'd love to know how to go about doing this and if we can do this as part of the WDW GAD promo that is an added bonus.

Yes you can totally ship them. This is what my family did for for our service. Hopefully alot of people can sign up!!

Wow that is quick, I would love to help but my local PL person didn't know ANYTHING about GAD or Hands On network.
