Urgent: Can I change dates of ticket?

Hi all,

I had booked 4 tickets to Universal Orlando for the family in December after Christmas and due to some personal reason, cannot go. Will they let me change the dates to some other date in 2023? I have also hotel booking with Head Rock and can I cancel it, and rebook when we go later? The later date is not decided, so not sure if Universal will even allow it? don't want to waste $3000 plus in tickets and hotel.

Thanks, so they are flexible to change dates? I saw that on the app they say you can change dates but when I tried it only goes upto April.

Can someone share how to check crown calendar? Will the week of Easter ( or school spring break) be very busy? I understand that Florida spring break is much earlier.

did you book a package or hotel & tix separately? Big difference in refund policy.

same if you bought tix directly thru Universal or a 3rd party

spring break crowds in MCO seem to be heaviest the 2nd week of march thru the end of the month. Since Easter is on april 7, next year, expect the crowds to likely be heavy thru middle of april.

Sorry got busy and didn't get a chance to check the forum. Booked separate tickets and hotel separately, no 3rd party.

If we do decide to go, how crazy will it be and even with early entry and express pass, should we expect that wait tines will be 60 min plus? what about some of the shows? minions, grinch etc. same thing? Kids are 5 and 8 so they won't be able to ride most of the rides, but even if they can walk through and get to see some of the characters and shows without having to wait a long time, that is doable.

This is just in case you can't change the dates on the tickets. Universal annual passes are still on the "cheaper" side and they don't need to be activated until your day of visit.

With early entry and express pass you’ll be fine. With express the longest wait might be 20 minutes or so but most will be shorter.

Hagrids and velociraptor don’t use express so look into strategies to shorten your wait although - as you said - your kids might not be tall enough. But definitely check and try to do hagrids at least if they meet the requirements.

I am getting mixed responses elsewhere too, some are saying that even withe express pass, the waist can be 45min plus. For the first day, we will have to come to Hard rock really early and check in and get express pass. Where can I find what time the park opens? how much of a thrill rides are the hagrids and velociraptors? I myself am not a thrill rider.

Almost thinking, if we can push out the dates to somewhere in mid February the week before the holiday weekend or in April the week of easter .

We're going in a few days, so I am currently looking at Annual Passes for out of state guests. The price is still reasonable. We're probably going to get the Seasonal Pass since there are no block-out dates for this pass next week. The AP room discount, when available, is marvelous.

Velocicoaster is a definite thrill ride roller coaster - flips, speed, height, the whole 9 yards. Not for the faint of heart.
Hagrids is a coaster with speed, but no real height, no flips, and an actual story / animatronics to go along with it. If it's even close to your comfort level, I highly recommend giving it a try. If nervous, start in the sidecar as it feels more "secure" than the bike for your first ride.

assume with kids you will be at the gates early, should be fine

although - as you said - your kids might not be tall enough. But definitely check and try to do hagrids at least if they meet the requirements.

Absolutely check the height requirements so you can set expectations accordingly with the kids before the trip.
