My son (12) is somewhat leery of roller coasters--especially the ones the go "upside down"--I'm not that crazy about them myself--rest of the family loves them--how will we do at IOA--how intense are the coasters compared to the ones at Busch Gardens (Williamsburg) and Six Flags (Dallas & San Antonio) and Astroworld which are our parks for comparison.

Is IOA mainly coasters or are there other (non "baby") rides/attractions?

Any info would be appreciated.

ya infact these are "upside down coasters" infact all of these are. but strangley enough these coasters are not really that intence. mind you that i was afraid of these coasters and I went on them when i was 13. I went on the hulk. it was the best thing i have ever been on. it even started my obsession with coasters!:bounce: :bounce:

Sounds to me like Hulk and Dueling Dragons will be a bit much if you are "leery" of upside down coasters.

But the Spiderman ride is awesome! As is back to the Future (USF). Other "non-baby" rides that pack some thrills are River Adventure in Jurassic parka and Ripsaw Falls in Toon Lagoon.

Rides at USF like Jaws, Earthquake, Twister, Kongfrontation, etc. are tame by comparison but a lot of fun.

In short, I think you'll find plenty to do even if you skip the coasters.
