I wanted to surprise husband with quick trip on Monday for 3 days with our unused tickets. I can't get any information from Disney if we have unexpired days and keep it a surprise because (1) I need to get tickets for safety deposit box and can't do that without him knowing and (2) don't have 72 hours which they say it will take to find out before I'd need to make arrangements. Grrrr . . . guess we won't be going until May -- I can find out by then. I can't believe that Disney is missing out on our $$ for a stay at a resort and meals because they won't help me out.

Excited about trip in May but disappointed that there will be no quick trip for me!

I understand the frustration but how are they supposed to know what tickets you have if you can't give them the numbers off the tickets?

Is there no way you can get in there telling him you need to access something else? To just take a photo of the back of the ticket?

Sounds like you need the actual info from the ticket to verify. You keeping them in a safety deposit box isn't Disney's fault. What more were you wanting from them?

I know its a pain for you, but I can totally understand why they won't tell you how many days are left on a ticket. Tickets are offered for sale on eBay and other illegitimate outlets every day even though every ticket clearly states it is non-transferable. If Disney provided an easy way for people to verify that those tickets were, in fact, valid media, this "re-sale" market would skyrocket. Disney is trying to stop the resale of partially used tickets.

I understand the above comments. I do have the ticket numbers and was told it was active. I wanted to confirm that there were three days. I don't know how telling me on the phone is any different than me copying the tickets with the numbers and sending my a photo id is any different. Of course, I have a list that shows all the days I used and shows that I have 3 days but wanted confirmation before I made a last minute trip. We'll still go in May and by then I can get the tickets from the safety deposit box and send the information they want. Disney already has our finger-prints to go with the tickets. My mistake in wanting to confirm before making arrangements.

If you have the ticket numbers, then you can try linking the tickets in MDE. If you've got the right numbers it will tell you how many days are remaining.

I guess it's just an added step to try and ensure you are both the original purchaser of the tickets and the current holder of the tickets.

Thanks. I'll try that. I guess I was excited about a quick trip . . . I know they have rules but I was hoping for some extra magic.

Wouldn't you have to get the tickets out of the box to go on Monday? And even if you don't know how many days are left, why not take them and if you need to buy new ones when you get there, you can do that -- you'd need them for your May trip anyway so buy no expiration tickets and you can use them now and in May.

Going to find out on-line. Thanks for all the advice. As an aside how in the world can people sell tickets that are linked with fingerprints :)

I actually just did this recently. I sent the email and a CM called me the next day to confirm the number of days remaining. Also as a PP said if you link them to MDE it should tell you the days available.

If you have the numbers then link them to MDX. Unless you are trying to prevent linking them because you want it to be a surprise. Honestly the surprise stuff always seems more trouble than it is worth.

they sell them to people who don't understand that they have to pass a finger scan to use them, it's called a scam.

"Of course, I have a list that shows all the days I used and shows that I have 3 days but wanted confirmation before I made a last minute trip."

I'd trust my own record-keeping over a CM or MDE.

Now I'm wondering how this worked out for you! Did you confirm the 3 days you thought you had? I hope it showed what you expected and you can take your quick trip, and have a great time! And, if not, I'd buy another ticket if I need one, non expiry or AP if you could still use in May, and maybe take another trip! ;)

Very seldom have I ever signed the back of my tickets, so what is to keep me from selling any unused days to a broker, next person buys and then signs ticket and then presents their ID to get in if the finger scan doesn't work.

I am in no way condoning the sale or transfer of tickets in any way other than the intended purpose of the Disney company.
