Hello, I often post over in Camping and Rumor and News forums, but I am seeking some advice. My friend and I are going to Disney for 2 days, spending 1 night at the Yacht Club, and bringing my teenage son along. I am trying to think of ideas that we could do for something a little "VIP".

Here are things that are out:

Our first day, she doesn't have a ticket. The second day we are hopping between Epcot and MK. So no park events the first day unless they don't require park admit

Food. I had bariatric surgery and I can barely eat a child's size portion of anything, so food experiences might be worth it for her and my son, but not so much for me.

Epcot fireworks cruise. The location is lame.

Dessert Party at MK cause it's not on a Saturday.

Anyone got anything else? If it's not exactly "upscale", but is private and VIP-ish then that would fit the bill as well.

Wouldn't this require park entrance?

Ty for the suggestion. It does require park entrance and it is only held on Saturday which would be our first day and there are no tickets. If we could have done this on Sunday when she has her park hopper ticket then this would have been a wonderful suggestion.

Your DVC member...
How about watching the fireworks from the lounge at the top of Bay Lake Tower?

This is a good suggestion and one that I will definitely consider now that you mention it. I guess I did not consider it before is because it didn't feel really "private" to me as any DVC member can go up there, but you're right, it is exclusive. However, we all know as cool as the lounge is, nothing beats fireworks on Main Street. This is her first visit in many years and I don't know if she'd want to leave the park.

Now I am confused
We're going on Saturday and Sunday. Of these two days, she has a 1 day park hopper ticket. We were planning on using it on Sunday. So, I'm not sure if she would want to leave the park on Sunday to go to Bay Lake to watch fireworks vs just staying in the park.

Or were you suggesting heading to Bay Lake the night of no ticket? I guess I interpreted it as you suggesting we go to Bay Lake the night we were at MK.

My boyfriend and I are going on an adults trip in November! Here are some of the more adult/VIP things we are doing that you might like or get inspiration from:

1.) 50 minute massages at the Grand Floridian
2.) Pedicure for me at the Grand Floridian
3.) MVMCP Holiday Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace
4.) Cirque Du Soleil gold seating
5.) Cabana Rental (when we go to Typhoon Lagoon)
6.) Speciality Fireworks cruise from the Polynesian to view MK fireworks
7.) We are also eating at Cinderella's Royal Table twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner

I hope you guys have so much fun!!!

Not sure how old your teenage son is, but my DH and I and my stepson have done the Segway tours a few times. We did Epcot twice and Fort Wilderness once. They do not do the Epcot one any more, but I think they might still do the one in Fort Wilderness. It is an offroad one and a lot of fun. Also not sure what days of the week they do these.

Here is the info on the Fort Wilderness Segway Tour. Must be 16 years and older.

If you’ve never ridden a Segway before, you’re in for a treat! Maneuverable, fast, quiet and fun to ride, the X2 is an all-terrain vehicle that can be mastered in minutes. And what better way to do it than with a beautiful backdrop of Florida countryside!

Navigate a variety of surfaces from paved paths to woodland trails as you complete a 2-hour circuit that includes stops at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the stables of Tri-Circle-D Ranch, and glassy Bay Lake, where photo ops abound.

Perhaps the ultimate thrills package if you are into the rides? Your park hopper would allow you to get into several days.

Is there a specific reason you want something VIP? I would almost rather spend the money on a 2nd day for your friend so you could enjoy the parks more.

Well I dont know how upscale it would be considered, but we always love Cirque de Soleil. You could add on a nice dinner or desert tasting with it.

My thought is that you can pack an entire trip's worth of rides into one day if you are willing to do pay $300 PP for the Ultimate day of Trills VIP tour. You get all of the major rides at MK, and HS. You also get Soarin. You can then select 3 FP at AK (Everest, Safari and Rapids) or 3 at Epcot (FEA or TT). The tour includes lunch and ends about 3pm. This would give you a solid amount of time to do AK or Epcot and end up back at MK for the fireworks. It's expensive, but it is VIP to the max. You get escorted to and from the parks via private car and ends up getting you on most of the important rides.
