I will be shipping some items down to Pop Century, was wondering which is better to use UPS or USPS. Any info would be helpful. Thanks again to all you "Expert" Disney Visitors!!

UPS or FedEx will go directly to your resort. USPS will go to a central mail sorting facility before it goes to your resort, which takes more time. If you want to use USPS, you need to factor this in when determining when to mail it.

If you use FedEx, you know what you are paying for: next day, two-day or three-day delivery. UPS should be the same. With USPS, you never know exactly when it will arrive (assuming you don't use overnight service).

You can also go to each of their websites and estimate the shipping costs / time. I use UPS and have never had a problem, plus it's usually alot cheaper.

Just shipped a box to POP Monday. I used UPS, I think it cost me $15. I was able to track the package online and make sure it arrived safely. I live in Ohio and it took about 2 days to get to POP. I defintely recommend using UPS!

If you were to use USPS, or if you have already done this before..how much extra time do you allot for the rerouting from the central mail facility?

Thanks for putting this post up, OP!! I was thinking of posting this same question!!

USPS Priority mail is super fast, it goes to the shorting facility but they'll deliver to the resort the same day.

hi! would you be able to give me the address you used to ship to Pop. we are heading there in May & i'm debating whether we should ship or use garden grocer. My problem with GardenGrocer is they are so pricey & i am spending about $60 including delivery fee on about 6 items! :confused3 Items I know I can get for much cheaper & use UPS and send it out!

Thanks

I thought i remember reading something about the resorts starting to charge a fee for packages? anyone know anything about this? or was it just grocery delivery.

I thought the charge was if you sent a package to a convention resort. Since vendors at the conventions would be sending packages here all the time

They only charge you at the new tower resort and convention centers. We send stuff when we stayed at the Pop and they didn't charge us.

Hi everyone - I'm new here and reading all these posts is amazing. we are looking to go for five days for the first time in nearly 10 years and without the kids...wooo hooo....
I'm curious...what is it that you send via UPS- this has started my mind thinking and I'm just curious how you all use this.

Some people send water or stuff they can't take on the plane, now days its cheaper to ship than paying airlines fees.

Do you have to be checked in already for the resort to take the package? For example, could I have it sent on a Friday, even if I wasn't checking in until that Sunday? Thanks for any insight.
