Here's my shipping and tracking info from 4 items I bought yesterday:

HORSHAM, PA, US 12/20/2010 10:15 P.M.
DAMAGE REPORTED / DAMAGE CLAIM UNDER INVESTIGATION

12/20/2010 10:12 P.M.
MERCHANDISE IS MISSING. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH ADDITIONAL DETAILS. / ALL MERCHANDISE MISSING, EMPTY CARTON WAS DISCARDED. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH DETAILS OF THE DAMAGE

US 12/20/2010 6:32 P.M.
BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED

So within 4 hours of being shipped at 6:32 pm, all my crap disappeared out of the box into magic UPS no man's land. :confused3

Guess my kiddo is going to have a karaoke machine and no karaoke CDs this Christmas (really, it was Camp Rock 2, so it might actually be a WIN, not a loss for me).

That's awful! :guilty: I've never had a single glitch with shipping from Amazon in all the years I have purchased from them.. Sounds like it might be on the UPS end? Sorry that happened to you.. Did you call Amazon? I've had excellent experiences with them and perhaps they can do something to help you out..

Good luck! :santa:

I tried, but they close at 10. I'll call in the a.m. I order from Amazon all the time, but they really need to stock up on some tape and use more than 1 piece on a box.

I bet it's the UPS workers jammin' to the Camp Rock 2 CD. Or reading the two romantic suspense books I ordered. They're squirrely like that.

Really trying not to hurt somebody over this. :rolleyes1 You guys should be proud of my restraint.

Bummer. I have to say though that I'm loving your attitude!Keeping it all in perspective:thumbsup2 Amazon has really good customer service, I'm sure they'll do what they can. Good luck!

I should call UPS and tell them I'm pissed about the empty "carton" they "discarded." Maybe I wanted that.

Give Amazon a call - they will ship your order out again so that you receive it in time for Xmas - their customer service is great :thumbsup2

It sounds like they have already filed a damage claim, so Amazon will know you never got the stuff...or even the empty box. You should still be able to get it in time for Christmas. :thumbsup2

Amazon will do their best to get another shipment out to you. USPS lost a game for DS last year. Amazon said to wait until a certain date and let them know and they would express ship another one. I received it in plenty of time.

Odd thing is I received the lost copy some time later three weeks after shipment. I returned it.

I had great service from Amazon today. Fedex delivered a package and instead of leaving it on the outside fridge on my porch (per the note on my door) they left it on the floor of the porch by the door with two dogs wagging their tails. You know what happened to the package LUNCH for fido!! When I called Fedex they were like well you left the dogs out to which I reminded them that they must hire drivers who can't read. I called Amazon and they were great! They are overnighting my package for tommorrow and agreed that Fedex was sloppy with delivery!

Oh man I laughed so hard you don't even know! :lmao: I can just picture those UPS guys rocking out in there trucks to some Camp Rock 2! Hope everything gets resolved though, fast and easy!

Well......I have spent some time in Horsham, PA and people there might like a little bit of Jonas brothers to liven up the evenings...just sayin' :rolleyes1.

I called Amazon this morning. I think what happened was they'd just refunded my money when I called (and she put me on hold for 10 minutes). The CS agent told me to just reorder it. I called her out on it because I JUST got the email as I was talking to her and she tried to telll me it was done at 2:44 am PST.

Whatever.

I told her I needed it before Christmas and I had to put the smackdown {insert smackdown smiley we don't have} on her to get her to understand, but she gave me free two-day shipping so it should get here by the 23rd.

I received an email from Amazon saying my package was delayed due to inclement weather, and I received it an hour later. Something strange is happening with UPS.

This reminds me. Recently I got a package that was open at the end (never sealed) but the contents were still inside. It was DVDs delivered via USPS.

Well, I think we're all spoiled because if you're ordering stuff less than two weeks before Christmas, you are taking a risk. Amazon and UPS are usually so good.

Having said that, I placed an order with Amazon at 10 pm Sunday night, they guaranteed delivery by December 24th.....for free...and UPS dropped if off at 10 am this morning (Tuesday.) Yup, 36 hours from order to in my hands.

I usually have good delivery service with Amazon but last week I ordered a KitchenAid waffle maker. It showed it was in stock but for some reason 3 days after ordering it I got the message "shipping soon" whenever I went on-line to check on it. I have to say, once it did ship I got it rather quickly! :thumbsup2

Amazon CS doesn't close at 10pm...it's 24/7. And they don't do those types of claims with UPS in that way, so I'm mystified why that notification is on there. Amazon normally would just create a replacement at no extra cost (no refund, but nothing extra charged to you) and bump up the shipping. But it actually sounds like this is at one of their fulfilment centers, for things to have been caught so fast, so it seems things got weird.

Dunno. I was tracking it via UPS and Amazon, but UPS had the exception update before Amazon's system. I got an apology email from Amazon telling me to email or call this morning. The new stuff shipped today and will be here on the 23rd provided the new box doesn't bust.

I also placed an order on Sunday evening and received it around 5 pm today. The confirmation E-mail from them said that it'd be delivered on the 24th.

They told me upfront that one item wouldn't ship until 1/6. Since it's for DH, I decided to go with it anyway.
